But we’re feeling a wind of change towards more tolerance, in the last 20 years…

Today, on PIUSIVUT, we will present the story of Duane Morisseau, a meti who's story is everything but ordinary.

Duane struggled very personally with colonial trauma, fell to drug abuse, and through his path, was infected by HIV. Duane found his way to heal through connecting with his meti community.

We’ve met him in Ottawa a couple weeks ago. Duane is a luminous person. He is the definition of resilience and shows how we can bounce back, from trauma to hope. This is for all those who are in darker moments right now, and for those who have someone they love struggling, we hope you feel inspired. We certainly were!

But first, in order to have more information, let’s talk to Minnie Grey, the director of the Nunavik regional board of health and public services.
