"What am I doing with my life?" This is a question I found myself asking numerous times. I've floated from job to job and never felt like I've found my calling. This led to feeling guilt and shame around not doing things the "traditional way". Is this you too? In this episode, I discuss a common journey us, ADHDers, experience-- job hopping and career pivoting.
I also share neurodivergent / ADHD friendly practical strategies (that I am trying) to empower you to build on your past experiences and skills rather than start over.
This episode's Rocking Chair Wisdom
1. You’re not starting over—you’re starting forward.
2. Every pivot you’ve made is part of your unique skill stack.
3. Use a “bridge plan” to carry past experiences into new ventures.
4. Your story makes you powerful, not messy.
5. Archive old work. Celebrate the pieces of you that endure.

We are all trying our best to navigate this ADHD brain of ours. Do y'all remember when I said, "It has been extremely difficult to focus lately"? Well, I think I have cracked the code! Don't roll your eyes at me, but I've been working on my new body (exercise)! And it has completely changed the game for my ADHD.
When I move my body at the start of the day, the rest of it moves smoothly. My focus is better, I feel more accomplished, and I actually get things done.
But why? Why does working out have such a big impact on ADHD? That's what we get into today!

Did you know that society is built around a man's 24 hour cycle?! Yup, that's why you have been having a hard time, Flowmie! Many women struggle with keeping up with society's expectations because the system is built around men!
We're expected to perform and operate the same way throughout the month, when in reality, our bodies weren't created to do perform like a man's.
In this episode, we discuss the concept of cycle syncing and its relationship with ADHD. We explore how understanding the menstrual cycle can help navigate neurodivergence, improve productivity, and maintain balance.
We also cover the four phases of the menstrual cycle—menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal phases—and how each phase affects energy levels, motivation, and ADHD symptoms.
Lastly, we learn some practical tips for aligning productivity with these phases.

Women work on a 28 day-ish cycle compared to the world and men who work on a 24 HOUR cycle.
Each phase of the menstrual cycle affects how our brains function because of hormones. Track your phases and symptoms via an app ( I use Stardust) or a journal.

There are a lot of us out there whom are neurodivergent / ADHD AND spiritual.
In western society, there is a diagnosis, BUT in other parts of the world, neurodivergence is seen less as an anomaly and more a way of navigating the world.
In this episode we explore what it means to shift the narrative from a westernize diagnosis to an Eastern/African Gift.

Have you ever wondered "Am I praying right?" At 30 something, there are plenty of us who are mourning the lives that we thought we would have, and are confused about how to move forward. We question ourselves. Our self-esteem take hits and we feel lost without direction. In this episode of Living In Alignment we get real about prayer! This may be different from how Big Momma taught you, but stay with me now! We explore how learning to pray, not just with words but with intention and openness, helps peel back the layers of who we think we are—the societal masks, the fear-driven identities, and the expectations we place on ourselves--to remember who Spirit created us to be.
By connecting with our higher selves and the Divine through prayer, we reveal our authentic core, allowing us to step into alignment with our purpose and live a life that reflects our truest essence. When we hold on to false identities or live out of alignment, however, we create obstacles that keep us from receiving the abundance meant for us. Tune in as we discuss how deepening your prayer practice can help you release what's no longer serving you, align with your higher self, and open the door to the blessings you've been unknowingly pushing away.
With love, JahnaSia B.
