By Patrick Dees, Nick Long and Matt Ryan
The podcast currently has 100 episodes available.
Pixel by Pixel is a weekly podcast about video games (most of the time) and...other things. It's hosted by Patrick Dees (@ptothedees), Nick Long (@Nick_Long), Matt Ryan(@LaughinMan7), and Evan Endicott (@NotoriousEJE).
We did it. 2016 is in the books. And while one could argue that it was a dumpster fire of a year in general it really proved out to be a banner year for games.
In this episode the gang quickly talks about being frozen in carbonite (or as close as Patrick will ever get to that) before getting right in to each of our Top 5 games of 2016.
We'll be back soon with a look forward to what's in-store for us in 2017 but as always thanks for listening. We appreciate your support and opinions more than you know. May 2017 treat you and yours well and and for the love of GOD please play the Objective in Overwatch...

Hey guys -
Its Patrick. The PxP crew has been super busy this week so I decided to publish a sneak peak at the first episode of the FANcave: The Official Podcast of Project FANchise.
Long and short of it - We bought and Indoor Football team and we want you, the fans, to run it. Think a mix of Fantasy Football, Madden Play Calling, and real life football!
You've been hearing me talk about this on this show for some time and excited to share with you our very first podcast. It wont be airing regularly in this feed but thought to bring Pixel Nation a sneak peak of some of the other things Ive been up to.
It will be in its own iTunes/RSS feed in the future and Ill be sure to get you those details but for now enjoy and stay tuned for more.

Evan, Matt and Patrick are together this week and joined by Writer/Director Benjamin Arfmann (@barfmann). We talk about VR, tech in story telling, Pokemon Go and finally we get to Just Cause. Tune in to see if Matt deleted it from his hard drive after playing it. Spoilers - he did.
After the break we talk a bit about Uncharted 4,but eventually we get to a very deep dive on the Masterpiece that is INSIDE. We talk through the end of the episode in a spoiler free manner. However, stay tuned after we wrap for a theory filled spoiler-cast section. "No holds barred"
If you haven't played INSIDE yet - change that and come back and talk with us about it.
Next week, gang.

We are BACK. And it feels great.
But of course we are. We couldn't not record an E3 postmortem. What a crazy year.
But first:
Evan Goes to Spain
Patrick goes to the Hospital
And then - its all things E3. We talk though our favorite things, biggest disappointments (Spoiler alert - it has do with how little we saw Mass Effect) and close out with our biggest surprises.
After the break we get to some great emails around the Killer App for Sony VR, Microsoft's Project Scorpio and Sony's potential response. The landscape is quickly changing rapidly and makes for some fun speculation.
Thanks for your patience while we were away. If you listen to this show - you are the best! But we are recording again and excited for the back half of 2016.

Oh man, this week we talk a little about our excitement around PlayStation VR . And then, before getting to what we really want to talk about this week, we discuss the optics around the cross-platform play conversation (Friend of the show ) Phil Spencer started this past week.
Then - that little indie that could... The Division.
Its an admittedly flawed game that has its hooks in Evan and Patrick. Deep.
Buckle up. We talk a lot about The Division. And *spoilers* - we got Alex.

Intermission: Too much Division talk to get into any intermission nonsense this week.

We. Are. Back.
At least, some of us are. And, kinda late.
Due to some personal challenges and scheduling we’re very behind but back on track with so much to talk about. So we apologize for the release gap. Thanks for staying with us.
This past week Evan and Patrick talk about the “JUICE!” & their fascination with “The People vs OJ Simpson”, Marcia Clark’s inevitable lung cancer, and Ross’ emphatic yelling of “JUICE” every time Orenthal is near.
After that we talk a bit about the state of Destiny and how Bungie seems to be in a no win sich right now. However, a good part of the show is spent talking about indie darlings - Oxenfree and Firewatch. What worked, what didn't work and how they both should be E-Sports.
Stay tuned after the break to hear Evan and Patrick do a deep spoiler dive in to all things Firewatch. And it gets very real. So if you have yet to play Firewatch - change that, come back to this section, and let us know what you thought of that game/story.
Games Discussed: Destiny, Division Beta, Firewatch, Oxenfree, Fallout 4

Intermission: Too much talking for any intermission this week. But the Firewatch theme brought us into the spoiler section.
This episode we essentially lose our mind about the year in games we have ahead of us. 2016 is shaping up to be... well...insane.
But before we get to all of that we talk a lot about Prince for some reason and a bunch of other nonsense.
Nick is back talking about Overwatch and, believe it or not, The Taken King. And just after that Evan and Patrick extol the virtues of Oxenfree to encourage people to give it a shot. Its something special.
After the break we look forward at 2016 and the games we are most excited by/curious about.
Please return your seat backs and your tray tables to their full, upright, and locked positions because 2016 is going to be rad.
Games Discussed: Destiny, Oxenfree, Tales from the Borderlands, and ALL OF 2016. Literally, like, all of the games. Its insane. Too many hits. Too many hits.

Happy New Years!
Sooo...how've you beeeeen? Its been a while. "Real life" managed to catch up with us yet again. But New Year, new commitment to getting an episode out on the regular. Yep. And Patrick is going to start playing Ori and the Blind forest any day...
This week we talk about all the stuff that went in to us taking an extended break. Holiday season, CES, and Even got like..tuberculosis.
Later, Endo and Dees discuss their approach to healthcare, controller mods, the XBO Elite Controller, being a Destiny Junkie, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Fallout 4 and a whole lotta Consumer Electronic Show/VR speculation.
Thanks for joining us again. We've missed you. Talk to you - next week.
Games Discussed: Destiny, Fallout 4, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, PlayStation VR, Ori and the Blind Forest, Uncharted 4, Mass Effect: Andromeda

Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays!
This week we recorded just before we watched Force Awakens (and just before the Holiday Break) so we ended up talking a metric about Star Wars. We shared our experiences revisiting episodes 1-6 including some very disturbing realizations about the Ewoks.
Then, Endo and Dees have both finished and loved Rise of the Tomb Raider so we discussed both that and the new AC at length.
We wrapped episode with some great listener questions around times we’ve waited in line for games/consoles and the challenges of recommending games or other media to people that matter to us.
Stay tuned. We actually have a few episodes banked so you’ll get some more PxP before the New Year.
All of the Pixelators wish you and yours the very best this Holiday season. Enjoy some time down, get in some quality time with family, an maybe relax with a game or two.
Games Discussed: Rise of the Tomb Raider, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Ori and the Blind Forest, and yes...Shadow Complex
