Blizzcon is officially over so let's talk about the protest, apology, and of course the games that were announced this year though we had spoilers for several of the releases already. There are a couple of small bits of news this week (including stupid stuff from Bethesda again...) but we focus our time on Blizzcon and the reviews that have been rolling out for Death Stranding (Paperboy).

Plant-based Patrick has arrived!

This week we've got to talk about Call of Duty, Fallout 76, Outer Worlds, The Last of Us 2, and the upcoming BlizzCon event on November 1st and 2nd which very well may announce Diablo 4. One thing that is stupid about this week is that Bethesda continues to make enough noise that you just can't help but talk about them. 

Even after 1 year of Fallout 76 and countless horrible decisions surrounding it they still are managing to run that game into the ground right alongside their reputation. What was once a well-respected developer has become a freaking joke. Even worse now that Obsidian has released Outer Worlds and basically showed that they can do more justice to games in the Fallout genre than Bethesda can.

Riot has announced that they've got several new games in the works (all based around League of Legend, of course) and we spend some time discussing that a bit this week. We talk briefly about Code Vein, Disco Elysium, Doom Eternal, as well as the normal games like League of Legends and Runescape. Blizzard once again has made its way into our show because they can't seem to figure out how to get out of this situation they've created for themselves and Blizzcon is coming up soon so we're looking forward to seeing what that's going to be like given all the backlash they've experienced the past couple weeks now.

Don't forget PSN users... The Last of Us Remastered is FREE on PSN this month so make sure you pick that up if you don't have it or haven't played it. Amazing game, well worth it!

Our shortest episode to date due to our last minute ditch efforts to get an episode out this week. We've both been traveling over the last week so it's been a little crazy but we're back and ready to get back in the swing of life. The good news is... This week on PPG Chris ended up buying Code Vein so we'll hear a bit about his experience with this very Japanese Action RPG and some of the classic troupes that come along with it. We discuss Ghost Recon Breakpoint, it's terrible monetization and all the horrible reviews it has been getting since release. Pat asks Chris what he thinks about building a custom PC or buying pre-build so we'll discuss that near the end and what's an episode if Pat doesn't flip out at least once?

We finally know when the Last of Us, Part 2 is coming to Playstation. Sony is dedicated to releasing this game on the PS4 with the PS5 right around the corner for next year (presumably). We're expected to see this game in February 2020 but it hasn't gone gold so the timeline could of course change but you know what has gone gold recently? Death Stranding, that's right - that popular Hideo Kojima game that we're all waiting to see and none of us have any real understanding of. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in November.

Also, Activision is releasing another Call of Duty... but that's not surprising but this one has P2W Loot Boxes! Honestly... still not surprising from Activision.

He's been very excited for WoW Classic for months, constantly bringing up videos and articles within our discord so now that it has arrived we decided to sit down and talk to him about his experience with it. Has it lived up to his hype and what is next for this decade old MMO? After talking about WoW we discuss a bit about beer/wine and then get into more gaming news from the past week. You want free games? We've got free games! Well... not us, directly but other companies have free games and we're going to tell you about them. We've got some interesting data about AMD and their GPU performance this week that we'll discuss, we talk about those old MMOs and how good they felt while we were younger - mentioning Wow Classic, of course. Pat is supposed to get a new keyboard this week which I'm sure we'll get updates on the discord for and Chris talks about Persona 5 way too much this episode... it does sound like he's really enjoying it though so can we really be that upset over it?

We also talk about some of the things happening around Riot with League of Legends Worlds coming up, the settling of their sexism lawsuit (outside of court) which both parties are apparently happy with and Riot has brought in a professional to try and fix their horrible work culture... do they really care though or just covering their asses?

A little bit of discussion around Gamescom and some of the footage from that and we also discuss how Microsoft is probably listening to what you say when talking to your Xbox or Cortana... are you really surprised?
