With the passing of Satoru Iwata, the Pixels and Ink Podcast takes a bit of a somber tone. With someone that touched so much of what we view as gaming now, it is hard to underestimate his impact on the industry. The cast also dives into new EA Studios, Doping in eSports, the continuing scandal of Kojima and Konami, and if the Ant Man movie is really any good.

This week Drekken Powns of ESChamp debuts the new eSports Minute where he talks about all the latest news from the world of eSports and pro gaming. Phil tells us all why the minions movie is better than he thought, but still not amazing. Also, with SDCC just starting, everyone digs into the latest news and what it all means for movies, comics and games.

With E3 now over the CGM crew settle in for the slow news days of Summer. All was not quite this week with new news about Evil Dead, more details on the comic book blockbusters and the review of Terminator Genesis. Phil also takes a few minutes to dive into what makes so amazing.

E3 is now over, so the time has come to go over what the staff of CGMagazine thought of everything on the show floor. Phil goes over what is new and exciting in the world of film, and Brendan tells everyone why Mirror’s Edge was an impressive demo, although he has some worries for the full game. With Ted 2 out, the crew talk about how Inside Out is the better movie for people to see.

This weeks Pixels and Ink Podcast starts with some sad news. Firstly, Wayne Santos is leaving CGMagazine to pursue other interests. Secondly, the cast bids a fond farewell to the master of stage, screen and metal, Christopher Lee, as he passed away at 93 this week. But from there we talk about all the crazy news from the week such as the Oculus Pre-E3 press conference, Master of Orion coming back and the announcement of the new 1TB HD Xbox One. Phil manages to squeeze in some discussion on what people can expect from Jurassic World and if it is worth your time and money.

On this week’s Pixels & Ink podcast, Fallout 4 is official! The trailer is refreshingly not glamorous, although some people have an issue with that. Phil has seen the new Insidious film, and it doesn’t embarrass the franchise. Also, Farming Simulator 15 is out, and it’s about as exciting as you’d imagine, but you should go play it anyway.

On this week’s Pixels & Ink podcast, the DC universe is getting another big ol’ reboot and it looks like the multiverse is coming back. Phil has seen the Rock take on an Earthquake and it ended about as well as you’d expect. Finally, Splatoon is out, and you should probably get this immediately if you own a Wii U.

On this week’s Pixels & Ink podcast, Rockstar is suing the BBC because the Rockstar “biopic” the network is making is apparently unauthorized. Not cool, Aunty Beeb. Need for Speed is getting a reboot, with much love from Sweden. I have no idea how that works. Finally, Melanie has a serious Amiibo problem and should probably get help. Like, lots.

On this week’s Pixels & Ink podcast, the PS4 has been hacked in Brazil, and so the great circle of piracy life begins. Supergirl has gotten a trailer for her upcoming TV series and it pretty much negates the need to watch the first episode. Finally, Phil has seen Mad Max: Fury Road and it’s the action film of the summer, possibly the decade.

On this week’s Pixels & Ink podcast, the Hamburgler makes a come back which has nothing to do with comics or games, but how creepy is that? Phil has seen Arnie in a zombie movie and it’s not what you’d expect, but Arnie actually does act. There’s also a Kurt Cobain documentary that you need to check out if you’re at all curious of one of the seminal bands of the 90s.
