For the first time, I interviewed a coach as opposed to an athlete. PJ Vazel has coached multiple sub 10 second 100m sprinters including Olusoji Fasuba and Ronald Pognon as well as Christine Arron, still the European 100m record holder. PJ has a background in athletics journalism and has more recently explored coaching the hammer throw. Throughout this conversation we explore his coaching philosophy and why training at a sub maximal intensity can benefit sprinters.
