A secret gathering at a secluded island off the coast of Georgia in 1910 laid the foundations for the Federal Reserve System.Like many Americans, these men were concerned with financial panics, which had disrupted economic activity in the United States periodically during the 19th century. The meeting and it's purpose were closely guarded secrets, and the participants did not admit that the meeting occurred until the 1930's. This group of 6 men called themselves the "First Name Club".

He is destined to be high priest—but at what cost to those he loves?

In ancient Samaria, Aban anticipates his rites of passage with excitement and dread. He yearns to join the priesthood of Ba’al Melqart, unlock the power of the rain god, and hear the deity’s voice. He’s been warned the licentious ceremony can take a dangerous turn, but as eldest son of the high priestess, he holds a privileged position. If he can make it through the ceremony, one day he’ll rise to high priest.

On the eve of the rituals, Aban’s mother confesses a dark secret about the bloody sacrifice demanded by Melqart. Aban may have escaped the flames, but if he is to save his brother, Aban must take his destined position of power as soon as possible.

When the mysterious prophet Elijah interrupts the rites, overturns the idol, and curses the land with drought, Aban’s world is shaken. The current high priest and the king appear powerless, but even more confusing is the fact that the rain god does nothing.

Against his better judgment, Aban conceals the strange prophet’s whereabouts, forfeiting the high priesthood. Now an enemy of the relentless Queen Jezebel, Aban has little time to question his fading commitment to Ba’al Melqart as he and his loved ones flee. But the conflict in Samaria is much larger than just a high priestess and her sons. Soon, Aban will have to choose a side in Yahweh’s war against the Ba’als—and it may cost him his life.

The Shroud of Turin has been the subject of much discussion and controversy for years because of this one thing: this cloth is purported to be the burial cloth of Christ.

When I sat down to chat with my guest, Myra Khan Adam, Executive Director of National Shroud of Turin Exhibit, I had no idea that my mind would be invigorated by the discussion in such a thorough way. Studies have ranged from carbon dating to 3D image analysis, each attempting to unravel the mystery of the cloth's origins and the figure it depicts.  Myra gives us well thought-out reasons why the Shroud of Turin is the Greatest Mystery.

The question is this: is the image we see on this cloth the Holy Face of Jesus Christ?

It’s difficult to imagine my life without books. For as long as I can remember, reading has been my form of escape, my outlet for stress, for learning, or broadening my horizons as I am exposed to new ideas, thoughts, or a pleasant trip to another world.

I can’t quite wrap my mind around having a hard time reading … but today’s author had many challenges to overcome as she struggled with severe dyslexia, discouragement from others, and her own spiritual battles to emerge as my favorite type of author I love to interview … the debut novelist.

At sixty-four years old, Kristena Mears has published her first book called, Under the Penalty of Death.

Will running set them free or sentence them to death?

Keturah idolizes her brother, Justus. He stood his ground with Abba, declaring Yeshua Messiah, resulting in Keturah’s desire to know more about Yeshua, and Abba proclaiming Justus dead to the family.

Today, Keturah became a woman, but her joy ends in terror when Abba accepts an offer for her betrothal. Devising a plan to escape the arranged marriage is dangerous, but it works. Now she’s able to find her brother and live as she chooses.

Every choice she makes turns into disaster. Manipulating to get her own way puts her in difficulty and danger. Women get stoned for what she is doing. What happens if Justus and her new friends see through the deception? Will her actions alienate her from her brother forever? Most of all—how much does Yahweh demand of her life?
