We live in an instant, impatient age and faith is not for the impatient. Moses shows us how to take a long view of faith that allows God to do his work in us and through us in his timing. A long view of faith also gives us faith beyond this life.

Faith is never just a personal thing. It is always passed from person to person and from generation to generation. Today we look at how to pass on our faith to our children, grandchildren, and spiritual family.

Sometimes God takes us through dark, confusing, or lonely times that test our faith in his presence or his plan. These tests of faith are meant to teach us something about who God is so that our faith in God grows. Our faith will not grow without tests.

Abraham is one of the best examples of a life lived by faith. As Abraham follows God's call on his life, he displayed his faith through his obedience, sacrifice, and trust.

Noah's example of faith is one of shining light in a dark time. As we think about how to live out our faith in the modern world, Noah has much to teach us about standing firm and shining God's light into darkness.

Our journey of faith begins at the very beginning of the story as we encounter a God who creates everything from nothing with only a word. He also creates us in his image so that we can share in his creative work.

Faith is belief lived out in real life. We begin our study of faith by defining what the word means in real life settings. Faith requires action, faith grows through doubt, and faith plays a long game.

Jesus calls his Church to go and be active. From beginning with prayer to engaging our communities, a church is healthy when it exercises. No pew potatoes!

In order to be a healthy church, we need to have a healthy diet. In this sermon we talk about the practices we can implement in our individual lives and in our church so that we continue to grow up in Christ.

In America, we are taught to value what is big, and so we naturally assume that small churches are unhealthy churches. Many small churches (and small church Christians) develop inferiority complexes as we look at the big problems around us. Before we can be healthy small churches, we must know that God loves small churches and that his glory shines most brightly when someone small trusts God to do something big!
