SOUNDFEST # 1 ~ JUDY GARLAND RANTS ~ CHARLES BUKOWSKI'S DRUNK (No real surprise there!) ~ and THE BEATLES EXPERIMENTAL COLLAGE IN SOUND

The PAUL IS DEAD Hoax AUDIO CLUES are at the forefront of today's fab episode. We'll hear over 25 audio clues "proving" (NOT!) that Pauly Mac died in 1966. But don;t tell Paul McCartney!!

On our previous Beatles Hour (# 41), we listened to the Paul Is Dead AUDIO clues. On this episode, we're lucky to be joined by Joel Glazier, who has been presenting Paul Is Dead lectures since the 1970's. We'll be focusing on the Paul Is Dead ALBUM clues this time around, and Joel will also give us the scoop on how the hoax began!

DEBBIE GENDLER, as a teenager, attended The Beatles' first appearance on the ED SULLIVAN SHOW on February 9, 1964. Yes, Debbie was in that audience and she'll tell us of her whole experience, from leaving her house to go to the show to coming back home afterwards. What a story!

Author/Beatles expert AL SUSSMAN joins us for quite an interesting discussion...What if we were lucky enough to have all four Beatles still with us, in their seventies? Would a Beatles World Tour still work? Al Sussman returns to Planet Ludwig to hypothesize on what would happen with that eventuality. And of course, Al talks with us about about Fab stuff!

"HEY JUDE" Video Participant, JOEL SOROKA, joins us for an amazing interview. On September 4, 1968, The Beatles filmed the "Hey Jude" promotional film. They did TWELVE takes. New Yorker Joel Soroka was one of the lucky people chosen to appear in the video and sing the extended "Na na" fadeout. Joel even picked up Ringo's tambourine and played it! Joel's our guest on this edition of The Beatles Hour, and he'll take us through his entire magical experience...

The Songs of YOKO ONO With & Without John Lennon: An Appreciation ~ Yoko Ono, dance club goddess to some, acquired taste to others...On this Beatlles Hour, we'll listen to the many levels of Yoko's musical output: songs recorded with John, songs recorded after John's death, and a few of Yoko's Billboard Magazine Chart Number One Dance Remixes. In the words of John, "Yoko's gonna do her thing, all over you."

Paul McBonus Trax ~ Let's get back and listen to some of Pauly's bonus tracks, demos, & alternate tracks from his first eight Deluxe Edition releases: McCartney, McCartney II, Ram, Venus & Mars, Tug of War, Pipes of Peace, Wings At The Speed Of Sound, and Wings Over The World.

Here are the rules to this Fab Beatles Game ~ We have to come up with a Beatles song (solo or group song) that matches the first letter of each of the Beatles' first names, AND that song has to be sung by that particular Beatle! Will your choices match ours? Have fun!

Gearing up fr Sgt. Pepper's 50th. As we celebrate the release of Sgt. Pepper's 50th Anniversary, we'll listen to COVER VERSIONS OF THE ENTIRE SGT. PEPPER ALBUM! Plus we'll hear isolated vocals, isolated instruments, & sound effects from Pepper. A splendid time is STILL guaranteed for all!
