Recorded on location at the Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport (CYKZ), Shahin Moshtagh discusses his journey to become a licensed pilot, after immigrating to Canada. With English as a second language, aviator’s mysterious language filled with acronyms, Shahin was able to navigate the challenges of ground and flight schools, both financially and from a language perspective. Shahin persevered and with a can-do attitude was able to navigate his way to earning his private pilot’s license. Flying out of the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (CYTZ), Shahin is able to balance his work and personal obligations while flying out of one of Canada’s iconic lakefront airports.
