Winter exposes structural weaknesses and this last winter was no exception. It revealed a body that had been simultaneously ignored and pushed past its limits, political systems fracturing under its own contradictions, and communities in Minneapolis refusing to disappear quietly into the cold.
None of that is accidental. We live in a culture that measures worth in utility and productivity, then discards what it can no longer use. Aging bodies. Immigrant bodies. Bodies that resist. The message is the same across all of them: this culture never wanted us whole. This episode is about refusing that.
