We're back!!! It's been about 4 years and there have been so many changes. In our lives and in the podcast. Introducing our new addition, Hope, who married our resident crazy guy, Garett. We kick off this new season (in celebration of the spooky season) with our brand new discussion format asking the question: Can a musical actually scare you? This episode, we dive into the eerie, bloody, and surprisingly melodic world of horror and musicals. From Sweeney Todd’s chilling harmonies to Sinners haunting use of blues and folk music, we explore how music and fear play so well together — and why the scariest moments aren’t always what you expect.

We’re ending Spooky October with the hilariously grotesque EVIL DEAD.  In 1981, Sam Raimi made quite the impression with his inaugural feature film EVIL DEAD.  In 2003 a musical parody would be mounted for the stage and both would go down in cult classics history.  It also happens to be Adam's favorite movie franchise outside of Star Wars, we're taking a look at the EVIL DEAD.

To celebrate we're looking at one of Garett's favorite shows, RENT.    This Tony and Pulitzer prize winning musical had a film adaptation in 2005 converting many who were unaware of Jonathan Larson's broadway smash.  we're talking all things RENT because Garett doesn't like talking about himself.

A fun and comical look at the afterlife and the crazy characters that lay within.  Tim Burton’s classic vision marrying the macabre and whimsy into his 1988 movie and brought to life on Broadway in 2018, we love BEETLEJUICE.
