- The Rocketeer (1991)
We watched 1991's The Rocketeer, and it was just how we remembered it! Baffling!

2012 was a year of doomsday "predictions" and even worse…...disaster films based on doomsday "predictions." Who knew that the beginning of the end began with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey? The first installment in this...trilogy, I guess...turns out to be equal parts nausea and fan-disservice. Lots of gross to go around in a film Justin critiqued as being "too much dwarves!" Relive Paul's worst nightmares as Playing Favorites reviews The Hobbit films!

Do you like Street Fighter? How about fighting games? What about streets
or just fighting in general? Do you like any of these things? You willfind none of them in 1994's fever dream, Street Fighter. Starring RaulJulia as Bison, a warlord/land developer in his last and greatestperformance and…wait….Jean? Claude? Van? Damme? as…Guile??Did you know Playing Favorites is raising money for children'shospitals? What Bond movie has Bond getting fired? Perriwinkle ninjas? Camera Guns? A young-old Benecio Del Toro? Sharks? A guy named Sharkey? And a overkill bar fight that nobody asked for? You get one of the weirdest, yet strangely enjoyable, Bond movies.

59 min - Our 100th Episode: Waterworld (1995)
For our 100th episode, we decided to get together and record an episode in-person. And what better way to celebrate this occasion than with a film near and dear to our hearts—Waterworld! This movie is a pivotal part of Playing Favorites from the very beginning, and only true connoisseurs will appreciate this film. Do you enjoy seeing Kevin Costner sailing a catamaran like a boss, or Dennis Hopper overselling terrible puns? Can you ignore the glaring inaccuracies and just enjoy a cigarette while wolfing down a can of SMEAT? If you can, then you're our kind of people. Cheers to the future!

1 hr 28 min - Favorites of Dune (1984)
We don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like Kyle McLaughlin. This Paul Atreides is soft, doughy, and whisper-thinks the whole movie. Join Justin and Paul on their second favorite desert planet: Dune.

56 min - Favorites of Bloodsport (1988)
Justin and Paul join Jean Claude Van Damme as he dives into the seedy underworld of super-secret, illegal full contact martial arts tournaments. You know, the kinds of things that kickboxing army privates go AWOL for while being chased by bumbling agents through the streets of Bangkok. Just another typical biopic based on a true story.

1 hr - Favorites of Anaconda (1997)
It's nice when a movie has a plot. And sometimes, it's better not to think too hard about stuff like that. This is the story of (Jon) Anaconda. Justin and Paul finally take on 1997's Anaconda and its star-studded cast, including Jon Voight, Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez, Danny Trejo, and...Owen Wilson? NOTE: No snakes or weird accents were harmed in the making of this episode.
