Playing from the Tips

Stretching across the globe, it is a big week of golf ahead.

It’s also an eclectic mix of events from the first women’s major of the year, The Chevron, to LIV Golf’s important week in Adelaide, a teams event on the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour’s Japanese debut.

Join host Jimmy Emanuel and so-called experts Rod Morri and Adrian Logue for a rundown of the courses, the players and the possible winners on Episode 10 of Playing From The Tips

It’s time to take a breath after a whirlwind Masters week but there’s no rest for the golf world with three events to preview.

The LPGA are in Hawaii, the Asian Tour heads to Vietnam and the PGA Tour are at their traditional Masters wind down spot at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head.

Host Jimmy Emanuel, Rod Morri and Adrian Logue have the low down on all of them in episode nine of Playing From The tips.

There’s only one tournament in town this week but The Masters is more than enough to fill an entire episode.
The first major of the year tees off in just a couple of days and Jimmy Emanuel, Rod Morri and Adrian Logue have thoughts on the course, the contenders, the Australian contingent and possible outsiders.

There’s also a less than flattering critique of the Augusta National Par-3 course (pictured in the tweet below)

It’s a full book of tournaments around the world and with the Masters just around the corner there will be plenty of players teeing up with an eye to Georgia in a week’s time.

LIV Golf is back, this time in Orlando and at a venue which should make for some intriguing play while on home soil, the PGA Tour of Australasia closes out the season on the Mornington Peninsula at the stunning National Moonah Course.

The PGA Tour heads to San Antonio for the Texas Open but the tournament might be as much a peek into the future of sponsorship in the game as anything else.

No need to wait a week for your Augusta National fix either with the Augusta National Women’s Amateur whetting the appetite while the LPGA Heads to a new and potentially intriguing venue in California and the WPGA Tour of Australasia heads north to Bonville for the Australian Women’s Classic.

Host Jimmy Emanuel is joined by Rod Morri and Adrian Logue to delve into each event and ponder on a potential winner at each.

You know the Masters is approaching when it starts sticking its nose into discussions about other tournaments (which it does this week).

There’s Match Play, Women’s NSW Open, an intriguing event in Asia plus opposite field PGA Tour action and the DP World Tour in South Africa.

An eclectic mix for host Jimmy Emanuel and so-called experts Rod Morri and Adrian Logue, but no shortage of nuggets of wisdom to be found in this week’s show including a hat tip to Ewen Ferguson for having one of the best player websites in the game https://ewenferguson.com/#home

The PGA Tour of Australasia is heading towards its season conclusion with the Play Today NSW Open taking place this week. LIV Golf is back this week, this time in Tucson, Arizona, while the PGA Tour’s Florida Swing concludes at the Valspar Championship.

Meanwhile the DP World Tour is in South Africa, the Asian Tour heads for India and the Ladies European Tour visits Singapore.

Host Jimmy Emanuel is joined by Adrian Logue and Brendan James to preview all the action and offer up their picks of the week.

It used to argue about being the fifth major but has The Players Championship fallen down the pecking order with the defending champion and other LIV Players now out?

Just one of the topics covered by Jimmy Emanuel, Rod Morri and Brendan James on this week’s episode of Playing From The Tips, along with previews of the International Series Thailand, Magical Kenya Open and New Zealand PGA.

The so-called experts also try to add to their win and top-10 numbers for the year with a tip for each event and a top Aussie performer at TPC Sawgrass.

Local golf is under the spotlight this week with the PGA Tour of Australasia/Asian Tour/Japan Golf Tour coming together for the 102nd New Zealand Open which takes pride of place in the preview roster.

There’s also the designated Arnold Palmer Invitational, and opposite field Puerto Rico Open on the PGA Tour, as well as the boldly named HSBC Women’s World Championship.
