Pastor Jesse explores the story of Judge Ehud found in Judges 3. Remembering that small compromises lead to large problems, and that each judge points to Jesus in some way, Pastor Jesse draws out 2 spiritual lessons to take away from the somewhat disturbing story.

Pastor Dion opens a new series in which we will be going through the book of Judges. Pastor Dion shares a few lessons that we can learn from this book, and to look out for as we work our way through the stories of the different Judges.

As we come out of a more dark and heavy series titled ‘Songs of Lament,’ Pastor Jesse turns the page to the next Psalm, Psalm 23. A well known Psalm which focuses on the Lord as, The Good Shepherd. Pastor Jesse draws out 6 truths and parallel lines from this Psalm, and the teachings of Jesus.

Pastor Jesse continues our Songs of Lament series taking us to Psalm 22. This Psalm is known as the Psalm of the Cross, because of the words echoed by Jesus years later while on the cross, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Pastor Jesse draws out the truths from this Psalm which teach us that although God doesn’t always feel present, His faithfulness proves that He is.

Kendall Schmitke continues our Songs of Lament series by looking at Psalm 88. Of the many Psalms of Lament, Psalm 88 is the only one that doesn’t pivot. Kendall shares with us that we should share all our thoughts with God, that is the kind of relationship God desires to have with us.

Coming out of Easter and our series titled, ‘Songs of Ascent,’ in which we journeyed upward toward Jerusalem, and celebrated Jesus’ death and resurrection, Pastor Jesse opens a new series called, ‘Songs of Lament.’ In this series we recognize that not everyone always feels like celebrating. Life can be tough sometimes, and the Psalms do a great job of teaching us to be real with God regarding our emotions. Lament in the Psalms teaches us to look backwards and remember God’s faithfulness.

He Has Risen! Today, on Easter Sunday, we rejoice in the empty tomb and the victory of Jesus over death. Pastor Jesse explores the moment when Mary Magdalene mistakes the risen Jesus for a gardener and how it draws us back to the story of creation in the Garden of Eden.

As we close our ‘Songs of Ascent’ series this morning, on Palm Sunday, Pastor Dion speaks of the ways that these Psalms challenge believers to live in unity with one another, and to bless the Lord. This week, as we remember what Jesus has done for us, let us spend time praising him for his many blessings and gifts!

Pastor Jesse continues our series through the Psalms of Ascent by looking at Psalm 130. This Psalm comes from the depths, from a recognition of the weight of our sins. As we continue journeying toward Easter, Pastor Jesse shares that we can only truly understand our need for salvation when we recognize the depth of what we are saved from.
