A semi-anonymous group, BecomePeacemakers.org, is asking candidates to sign their "Love your enemies" pledge. Most of the people who have signed it are the very people have said some really nasty things about their political opponents. Perhaps it wasn't the intent of the pledge but the real question is how it will be used--and that is a typical Redcoat tactic.
