War is coming to Prythian, and naturally, we have thoughts.

This week, we're diving into A Court of Wings and Ruin, where alliances are tested, secrets are revealed, and the fate of Prythian hangs in the balance.

We're talking Feyre's return to the Spring Court, the war with Hybern, the Inner Circle, and all the chaos, heartbreak, and questionable decisions along the way.

And then there's A Court of Frost and Starlight. It's short, not a whole lot happens, and we weren't entirely sure how much there was to discuss. But we covered it anyway!

Of course, we can't resist going a little deeper into the relationships, sacrifices, and complicated choices that make this series so much more than just fantasy and romance.

Things are heating up in part II.

After realizing we had way too many thoughts to contain within one episode, we decided to split our original recording into two parts. Last week you saw our discussion on A Court of Thorns & Roses. This week? Welcome to the Night Court.

We’re diving into A Court of Mist and Fury to talk about Feyre’s healing journey after her trials, Rhysand, the Inner Circle, a certain mating bond, and all the plot twists that had us really going off on some tangents. 

And naturally, to take it a little deeper, we discuss toxic relationships, autonomy and what happens when you finally start choosing yourself.

We originally sat down to record both A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury with the intention to keep it all within one episode, but then we started talking...

Between the plot points, hot takes, character opinions (looking at you, Mr. Fiddles), and so much more, we quickly realized that we had more thoughts than one episode could reasonably hold. So, we’re making this a two parter.

Part I is all about A Court of Thorns and Roses. We’ll talk Feyre, Tamlin, Lucien, Under the Mountain, our opinions, and hot takes.

Next week, A Court of Mist and Fury will get its own moment to shine where we’ll take you with us to Velaris and meet the Inner Circle.

We’re getting mystical. Or at least, we’re attempting to.

This week, we’re diving into the worlds of astrology & numerology and using birth charts, numbers, and questionable amounts of confidence to psychoanalyze each other. Because apparently knowing someone for 30+ years isn’t enough — now we need the cosmos to weigh in.

Are we actually compatible? Are our personalities written in the stars? Do our numbers explain why we are the way we are? Or are we just finding increasingly creative ways to justify our own personalities?

Since we can apparently never discuss one topic without taking several scenic routes along the way, expect astrology, numerology, questionable conclusions, completely unrelated detours, and somehow… Mrs. Anglerfish.

Episode 7 is here and we’re finally diving into The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J Maas!

After completing our journey through the Throne of Glass series, we are going back to where Celaena Sardothien’s story began. In this episode, we discuss the five novellas that make up The Assassin’s Blade and take a closer look at the experiences, relationships, losses, and trauma that shaped one of fantasy’s most iconic female main characters. While Celaena may only be sixteen in these novellas, she has already experienced more trauma than most people see in their lifetime.

Come sit with us while we talk about the complicated relationships throughout The Assassin’s Blade, the impact of abuse and manipulation, and how Celaena’s experiences at such a young age shaped the person we meet at the start of Throne of Glass. Of course, because this is Plot Twists & Deep Thoughts, we also venture into some side tangents that only two lifelong best friends could somehow find to connect to traumatic character conversations.

We’ve made it to the final stretch of our Throne of Glass journey! Before we close out this series with Assassin’s Blade, we’re taking you through Tower of Dawn and The Kingdom of Ash. We are talking about the characters we loved, the choices that drove us mildly insane, the moments that broke our hearts, and some hot takes we’re still not over. We tackle a spelling bee, identify characters and the kingdoms they come from, and defend some hilariously unlikely character pairings. It’s an episode full of fun, laughs, (mostly) friendly competition, and some bookish chaos for all the fans of Sarah J. Maas!

We’re back in Erilea and things are starting to go off the rails, in the books and in our studio.

This week’s episode we’re diving into Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms - breaking down the plots, sharing our hottest takes, debating our favorite characters, and trying our best to stay on topic. It’s a bit unhinged, a bit emotional, but exactly what you’d expect from two life-long best friends with way too many opinions.

So, grab a cup of coffee (or glass of wine) and come spiral with us.

We definitely bit off more than we could chew with this one. It was our first time reading Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, and Heir of Fire, and we somehow thought, "Let's cover all three in one episode."
