  • 6. BJ Down with the Sickness, Derek's BFF, & Romans 8 & 9 Series #1

With BJ absent with a high fever for this episode, the remaining cast keeps up the sick content with The Book Report and a new series on Romans Chapters 8 and 9.  If you are ailing and seeking medicine, Derek Jones recommends G.K. Beale in The Book Report for your theological needs.  Also, one cure in Derek's life is his deep friendship with Mr. Beale.  After that recommended prescription, the cast provides a continual remedy with a study on the book of Romans.  During the first part of this series, background information about this epistle as well as highlights of chapters 1 - 7 provide context to Part 2: Romans 8 & 9 for next week's episode.  To conclude, this episode is full of deep theology ... sort of like an ointment for our depraved hearts! ... Okay, I will stop with the sick puns! Hope everyone enjoys!

  • 5. Beth Moore Rant, Holy Scriptures Series Finale, & Wrastlin'

This episode includes another Brad Rant along with the epic finale of the Holy Scriptures. During this edition of the Brad Rant, Bradley Starling discusses Beth Moore’s recent tweets concerning the Apostle Paul’s teachings in comparison to Jesus. Once the cast wraps up that conversation, they turn their attention back to Chapter 1: The Holy Scriptures of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith in which they finally finish the last of the four-part series.  They finish it like Bret “The Hitman” Hart submitted “Stone Cold” Steve Austin back in WrestleMania XIII or like Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre The Giant in WrestleMania IV. Don’t understand the references? Tune-in to Episode 5 to find out! Also, if you missed the discussion or you want to hear more about this topic, please check out and listen to the previous episodes listed in our archive.

  • 4. Bro-Time with Broski Kent, Arm Wrestling, & Holy Scriptures Cont.
This episode incorporates time ... "Bro-Time with Broski Kent" to be exact ... and the third portion of the four-part, series on the Holy Scriptures.  In the inaugural segment of "Bro-Time with Broski Kent," BJ Kent ignites conversation between the cast members about christian-related hypotheticals. In this segment he asks each cast member about their specific person in church history or in today's modern church who they would want to have a one-hour conversation with and a one-hour debate with.  Once that interesting dialogue finished up, before more kooky, arm-wrestling hypotheticals continued, the show tempers back to where they left off last episode with the main discussion on the Holy Scriptures.  Hope everyone enjoys!

  • 3. Osteen Fan, Mama Starling, & the Holy Scriptures Cont.
This fun episode includes the new "Derek's Book Report" segment, goofy banter, and part two of the four-part, teaching series of The Holy Scriptures.  The Book Report provides the audience suggestions on Reformed Christian authors who are theologically, systematically, and biblically sound.  Pastor Derek Jones advises listeners to read Scott Oliphant, John Frame, and more in regards to the Holy Scriptures.  As the conversation continues, the cast jokingly speaks of Derek's fandom for Joel Osteen, the interesting titles and authors on Derek's bookshelf in his office, and how to accept books from your own mother ... especially mothers like Bradley Starling’s.  Then the podcast advances towards the continued conversation from the previous episode of the Holy Scriptures from Chapter 1 of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.

  • 2. Choice Meat, Stretch Marks, & the Holy Scriptures
This episode introduces a new segment simply called, "The Brad Rant" and provides the first of a four-part, teaching series about the Holy Scriptures. "The Brad Rant" consists of Bradley Starling venting and expressing his displeasure and frustration about a specific topic(s) such as social media posts, viral videos, church culture news, theological debates, etc. To kick off the episode, Bradley brings before the cast the analogy that "ex-Calvinist" Leighton Flowers makes about God's election being like that of "choice-meat in a supermarket." After the cast's entertaining critique of the analogy, they settle down and examine paragraphs from Chapter 1: The Holy Scriptures of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.  Hope everyone enjoys the episode!
