1. Jesus and his disciples preached the gospel before his death and resurrection. How does understanding the good news of God's kingdom change or expand your understanding of what the gospel means?

2. Pastor Tomy explained that repentance is more than feeling sorry for our sins (it requires rearranging our lives around Jesus). What areas of your life might need to be rearranged to better reflect his priorities?

3. Think about the difference between wanting Jesus as your King and actually living under his kingdom. What are some ways we can embrace what Jesus offers while resisting the changes he calls us to make?

4. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us to seek God's kingdom first. How would your daily decisions, relationships, finances, or schedule look different if you genuinely put his kingdom above everything else?

5. The message ended with four simple words: come, name, release, and receive. What anxiety, fear, or burden are you carrying right now that you need to name and release to Jesus so you can receive his peace?

What happens to our trust in God when life doesn’t go the way we planned?

They talk about why following Jesus doesn’t guarantee a life without trouble, how an outcome-based view of faith can leave us disappointed, and what it looks like to build our lives around the character and presence of the Father instead.

Because Jesus doesn’t answer our uncertainty about tomorrow by telling us what tomorrow will hold. He reminds us who our Father is.

If Jesus was right about God, life, and the soul, then it only makes sense to rearrange our lives around what he says is true.

For many of us, that word carries a lifetime of experiences—some good, some painful, and most complicated. But what if our experience with our fathers isn’t supposed to define how we see God? What if Jesus invites us to start with God and allow him to redefine what “Father” means?

Daniel sits down with Michele Cushatt to unpack Jesus’ words, “Our Father,” the significance those words carried in the first century, and the surprising picture of Jesus as the firstborn Son who came not to conquer with a sword, but to lay down his life.

Together, they explore what it means to know God through intimacy, sovereignty, security, and belonging—and what changes when we begin to see ourselves as his beloved children.
