Plus Platoon

Is Thor: Ragnarok the funniest MCU movie? Is Hela a purely evil villain? Did we really need this movie for canon, or is it just a fun filler? Those who have followed us for a while may remember that this was one of the movies suggested for a non-Marvel fan to like. How did our resident Marvel skeptic feel about the movie?

We're talking She-Hulk's premiere this week. Was it a "Banner" premiere? Is the character loyal to the original, or is she just an empty, green shadow? What will make the series a success? Put on your Spandex and join us!

Is Lightyear a worthy movie? Does it go to infinity, or just beyond terrible? Does it feel like a 1995 movie? Does Chris Evans work as Buzz Lightyear? Should this have been released in theatres, or gone straight to Disney+? Are the I Am Groot shorts the best of the short series, or do Dug and Olaf retain their titles? We're hitting Pixar and Marvel this week!

Were parts 1 & 2 of Light and Magic truly magical or too deep of a dive? What movies were we awed by because of the effects? What would get us to watch the rest of the series? We're looking at these two episodes this week, a documentary from Lucasfilm and Disney.

This week we're stepping into the Vault and looking at the 2006 Pixar movie Cars. We discuss if this is the best voice cast that Pixar has assembled. Does this movie have the best theme park tie-in of all Disney properties, even better than Star Wars in Galaxy's Edge? Does the movie hold up 16 years later? We talk about all of this, plus our Pixie Dust Ratings and the Disney+ news.

This is one of the most shocking and surprising episodes ever! The Platoon talks Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness this week. Were Wanda's actions justified at all? What made this the closest thing yet in the MCU to a horror movie? Do we buy that dreams are really looks into other MCU dimensions?

This is all discussed, then they give their Pixie Dust Ratings, and all heck breaks loose, at least in this dimension. What caused all of this shock? Who was in awe? Tune in to this episode and find out for yourself!

We're talking about the Ms. Marvel season finale! Who was ultimately the villain? Who was your favorite non-Kamala character? How did the series compare to the comic source material? And...MUTANTS!!! Our resident Marvel comics expert is a part of the show, and he has some interesting connections to the origin materials. The team also gives their Pixie Dust Ratings on the season and takes some thoughts from the audience on this show that was recorded live.

This week we're looking at episodes 3-5 of the Ms. Marvel series. We look at the origins of her powers, her relationships within the series, as well as other factors that influence who she is becoming. Also, what do we want from the Finale?

The other show we discuss is the new series of Baymax shorts. These six episodes are directly related to Big Hero 6, which we watched recently, as well as multiple TV shows. Is the controversy of Episode 3 deserved? What did we think of the series as a whole?

In preparation for the upcoming Baymax series, we're looking at his origins in Big Hero 6. What helps set this apart from other Marvel movies? Does it really meet the criteria to be a "Marvel movie?" What do we want from the Obi-Wan finale?
