In Supernatural's classic "Rashomon" episode, Dean and Sam investigate a series of weird attacks on a college campus, leaving two professors dead and one frat boy traumatized by an apparent alien abduction. Sam and Dean investigate a series of murders in which the perpetrators claim they were instructed to commit the crime by an angel. Sam fervently believes angels are real, especially after the angel tells him he needs Sam to stop a bad guy. Dean isn't convinced that angels exist until he sees an event that he has no way to explain.

Dean and Sam work a case at an old-school haunted hotel to take Sam's mind off the unsuccessful search for Ava. Sam turns out to be a pretty miserable drunk who extracts an impossible promise from Dean. Dean fails to notice many obvious references to The Shining. And Conchita Campbell plays yet another incredibly creepy child.

A demonic rage virus is causing townspeople to attack and infect one another. When an infected nurse tries to turn Sam, Dean decides to stay with him even though it means imminent death.

These red-eyed demons make deals with humans--the human can have whatever they want as long as they allow the demon to collect their soul in ten years. Sam and Dean attempt to save an altruistic man from his demon deal, but the demon proves to be a greater temptress than Dean was expecting.
