June 22, 2020Pulotu Canada Mc Carthy - Pasifika community in Melbourne attend vigil for Solomone Taufe'ulungaki and call for calm.Hundreds of friends, community leaders and elders from Melbourne's Pasifika community held a vigil on Friday to bless the site where 15 year old Solomone Taufe’ulungaki was stabbed and killed last Tuesday.One of the community leaders who attended that vigil is Pulotu Canada Alofa Mc Carthy the founder of the charity organisation CANTOA Community Inc that provides much needed assistance and weekly food parcels to the homeless as well as struggling Pasefika families in the west and south of Victoria.He is also the President of the Samoa Community Advisory Council in the state of Victoria, he joins us to talk about this latest tragedy....more13minPlay

Will became Chairman after a few months as our inaugural Chairman, Samoan Fred Schmidt being a seaman felt position needed to be on land permanently. After Panthers he managed the band HERBS while on trial for the 1981 Springbok Patu Squad.
