The final two episodes (Mrs. Maisel 209-210) of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel feature Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) at both her greatest level of professional success… and a harsh realization about what it’s going to take to go even further. A couple of episodes ago, Declan Howell (Rufus Sewell) presented a grim picture of a driven artist, giving Midge a moment’s pause. The finale makes things more concrete for her, as her mentor, Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby), decries the consequences of fame and croons about how Alone he feels because of it. And then, there’s Joel…

Let’s not forget Abe. Can we expect to see Abe as some kind of hippie/intellectual next season? If anyone can transform the stuffy, uptight college professor into a counterculture icon, it’s Tony Shalhoub.

Midge -seems- to get cozier with Benjamin, but the big guy will have to take his turn. Midge has things to do, thanks to a successful tryout for a local comedy act booker. After finally revealing her career in comedy to her family, it’s time to tour! Could it have gone worse? Well, no one was killed…

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - Episode 204 - "We’re Going To The Catskills!"Credit: Courtesy of Amazon Studios - Copyright: Amazon Studios - Description: Pictured: Rachel Brosnahan (Miriam 'Midge' Maisel)

We decided to put all of Midge’s Catskills adventure into one super podcast (don’t worry – it’s about 70 minutes) covering all three episodes (Mrs. Maisel 204-206). Sticking mostly to Midge and Abe, the two characters with the most going on – and changing – during this period, we weave in everybody else when they cross paths with those two. We also do our best to sound literary as we make running comparisons to “To Kill a Mockingbird”.

Remember, you’ll never be Jimmy!

THIS IS US -- "Four Fathers" Episode 603 -- Pictured: (l-r) Milo Ventimiglia as Jack, Kaz Womack as Kevin, Isabella Rose Landau as Kate, Ca’Ron Jaden Coleman as Randall, Mandy Moore as Rebecca -- (Photo by: Ron Batzdorff/NBC)

Each of the show's four fathers sure had a tough time this week, didn't they? As parents, your reviewers, Paul and Caroline, have encountered similar Real Life situations like these and have a lot to say about them.

Listen in as we chat about:

Jack - Super-dad took it on the chin this week. Next time, remind the kids to wake you up if one of them decides to bounce. Plus, that phone call at the end :(

Randall - Deja may not have been honest about where she went last weekend, but she sure made her feelings clear at the end of the episode. Now what?

Kevin - Kevin has a problem with no good answer. The nature of his relationship with Madison means he -will- miss certain events in the twins' lives. But doesn't every parent who works outside the home? And who still had Cassidy in the running?

Toby - I don't know how forgot to tell him, but "Do what the mom says to do" is on every page of the fathering manual. Plus, now every time we see him use that smoker, we're going to wonder if THIS is the time that hurts Baby Jack. Thanks, Dan F.

This one broke our heart. We practically threw popcorn at the screen during Joel (Michael Zegen) and Midge’s (Rachel Brosnahan) post-birthday shenanigans. Luckily, we go out with a bang and on a high note.
