We are one week into the 2021 season, so let's talk about it. Yes, it is far too early to make any determinations on the season, but it is interesting to see the early return a lot of team are getting.

Coming in at #3 is the Bronx Bombers as they hope that 2021 is the season they finally make that push back to the fall classic. To think that the evil empire has not won, or even been to, the World Series since 2009 is baffling. 

Do the Yankees finally have the team, and health, to make it to the top of the American League? Can they win another ring? Short answer: Yes, to both. They will need somethings to go right, but this team has as high of a ceiling as any; however, the floor for this team can be just as scare.

#4 in my Power Rankings are the exciting San Diego Padres. Slam Diego burst onto the scene last year, and are a favorite to make a World Series this season. In fact many have them ranked top 2, but I explain why I have them at 4 instead. There is a lot to like about this team, so tune in and hear my take on the 2021 Padres.

Starting the top 5 of my power rankings with the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox had a lot of success in 2020 and have the core to have an even better 2021. Adding some key pitching will be huge for them come October as well.

Coming in at #7 in my power rankings is the New York Mets. This team was a beast offensively in 2020, but their rotation was a mess. Yes even with Jacob DeGrom being the best pitcher on the planet the Mets pitching couldn't get it done. They have fixed that and are ready to make a real run this season.

Coming in at #8 in my power rankings is the Oakland A's. The A's managed to win the AL West last year as they finally unseated the rival Astros; however the Astros would once again have the last laugh. Can Oakland do enough to get over the hump and become more than a regular season team. I will dive in and find out.
