POD HATES US ALL

So we've been away for a while but we're BACK, and to make up for it we have a bumper episode for your sweet little ears. New records by BOSSk, CANNIBAL CORPSE, PANOPTICON and WHILE SHE SLEEPS get the PHUA treatment, clear your schedule and dig the hell in.

The PHUA brains were collectively fried this week as we all tried our damned best to make sense of Ad Nauseam's mindfuck of a new record. Listen in for our thoughts on that as well as a rager of a new record by Manchester-based metallers Wode. Plus all the usual PHUA garbage to wrap your ears around.

Recently it was GRAMMYs week and what did that mean for the metal world? Big debates to be had there, see also the new Architects record - a big commercial success but does it hold any credibility? We also chat the new Hulder record - black metal fans tune the hell in! Plus all the usual PHUA news and tidbits.

This week we dig into 'The Raging River', the new EP from Cult of Luna - a band we are all very well acquainted with. On the other hand we review something totally new to us all in the form of black metal project The Ruins of Beverast. Plus all the usual PHUA news, recommendations and more.

Episode 22 is a special one as we sit down and shoot the shit with Kyle Beam from UNDEATH, a band who put out the best death metal release in 2020 (yes it was that good) in the form of 'Lesions of a Different Kind'. We also serve up the latest metal news and general PHUA ramblings.

Two of the most exciting names in death metal at the moment get the PHUA treatment as we look at Frozen Soul's debut 'Crypt of Ice' and Gatecreeper's surprise release 'An Unexpected Reality'. Listen now for our thoughts on these, plus the usual news and other tidbits.

Children of Bodom, Iced Earth and more feature in the news, plus we have a trio of 2020 releases to dig into that we missed first time out - tune in for the PHUA lowdown on Eternal Champion, Wake and Spirit Possession.

It's that time of year! The three of us compile our 20 records of the year, put them through the PHUA scoring system and boom - we reveal the PHUA top 20 of 2020. If you haven't heard any of these, what are you waiting for?!

The last episode before we dig deep into AOTY 2020, we tackle new records by death metallers Of Feather and Bone and Skeletal Remains plus a divisive new record from Spirit Adrift. Plus all the usual heavy news and chats.

This week we debate the merits of releases at very different ends of the musical spectrum, from Bring Me The Horizon's 2020 take on early 00s nu-metal through to the re-recording of Mr Bungle's 80s thrash exploits and a very under the radar debut from Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Puciato. Plus all the usual metal news and musings.
