On September 15, 2020, the Abraham Accords were signed between the United Arab Emirates, Israel and the United States. Recently, to commemorate the first anniversary of the signing of the accords and to discuss their significance, an event was held at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC. hosted by their Middle East Program. On July 14, the Emirates Mars probe – “Hope” or “Al Amal” in Arabic – is scheduled to lift off from Japan’s Tanegashima Space Center and begin a seven-month journey to the Red Planet.
