The Crazy Mountain Museum Society was founded in 1984. It wasn't until 6 years later that the Society's goal of erecting a museum was finally accomplished. The museum as it is today was constructed in 1992.

In loving memory of Loren Alberts, whose heart and passion was to share the world and it's many wonders through his vision and voice, inspiring kindred spirits to seek the adventure of a wonder-filled journey.
