It is quite thrilling to defy the laws of science and be pulled in the opposite direction. Located in northern India, these mysterious "magnetic" hills have long puzzled locals and tourists alike. Just 19 miles outside the small town of Leh, a sign on Srinagar-Leh highway reads, “The phenomenon that defies gravity. Park your vehicle in the box marked with paint on the road and experience the wonder!” Due to this extraordinary phenomenon, it has been given many names like ‘Mystery Hill’ and ‘Gravity Hill’.Whatever theory you believe, these scenic hills are definitely worth the visit.

Three families, over three decades, in just under 320 minutes— as Gangs of Wasseypur 2 completes a decade on 8 August, it’s easy to take the things Anurag Kashyap’s film gave to Bollywood for granted. The 2012 films generated a garage of meme and content with their crude slangs to the brandishing of guns. The underrepresented communities in Hindi films had finally found their saviour in Gangs of Wasseypur. It was able to shine the spotlight on small-town India without patronising it and without the city lens. Political ambitions and family politics collided in the narrow alleys of Wasseypur. It sparked a wave of stories set in similar cities. For instance, Mirzapur, Panchayat, Gullak, and Hasmukh.Gangs of Wasseypur changed the tide in Bollywood. Real India was on screen.

Scientists have been left baffled after discovering that the Earth is spinning faster than normal – making days shorter than usual. According to UK’s national Physical Laboratory the earth is spinning faster than it was half a century ago. The shortest day ever recorded was on the 29th June, when the full rotation of the earth took 1.59 milliseconds less than 24 hours. Some experts believe the melting and refreezing of ice caps on the world’s tallest mountains could be contributing to the irregular speed. Zotov told Time and Date that there’s a “70 per cent chance” the planet has already reached the minimum length of a day, meaning we will likely never have to use a negative leap second.However, Zoltov admitted there is no way to know for certain yet with current technology.
Soon a detailed research will come into light and one would be able to understand its effects more deeply.
