Roger Waters returned to the spotlight in 1999 with a successful 'In The Flesh' tour that woke a generation of fans to the reality that David Gilmour wasn't the only face behind Pink Floyd. Van Halen returned in 2015 for their final tour supporting their first live album featuring singer David Lee Roth. The live album was received well, as was the tour that featured a lot of songs that hadn't been played live since the bands early days. This was recorded after Eddie's passing and it was difficult to record, but I hope it brings a smile to your "ears" to hear Eddie and my thoughts about this release. www.apodcastandacd.com @apodcastandacd
I recorded this the evening of October 6, 2020 hours after hearing about Eddie's passing. People were asking my thoughts online quite a bit so I figured I'd record what I was feeling the day Eddie passed.
I recorded this episode a week before Eddie passed away, so this is my last show with hope in seeing Van Halen Live again and anticipating a new record. David Lee Roth returned to the studio with Van Halen for the 2012 release of 'A Different Kind of Truth'. www.apodcastandacd.com @APodcastandaCD
Van Halen returned in 2004 with lead singer Sammy Hagar for a tour and three new songs to support another greatest hits compilation called "The Best of Both Worlds". The collection was advertised as the first compilation to include both Sammy and Dave songs mixed with each other. After a long tour VH seemed to have seen better days, but how do these three new songs hold up? Listen in to find out all these years later! www.apodcastandacd.com @APodcastandaCD
March 17, 1998 Van Halen returned with a new album and a new singer. Gary Cherone. The album wasn't a fan favorite but the tour was received well. Listen in to hear if this album is as good or bad as you remember. This episode includes a couple bonus tracks! www.apodcastandacd.com @APodcastandaCD
Following a summer of major drama and line up rumors, Van Halen emerged in October with two new songs featuring David Lee Roth on vocals for the first time in over a decade. Listen in to hear my thoughts and experiences with these new songs and Humans Being. www.apodcastandacd.com @APodcastandaCD
As tensions between Sammy and the Van Halen brothers kept escalating the band was able to put together a well 'Balanced' album. Another number one hit album, the fourth consecutive number one album since Sammy joined the band. Listen in to hear Sammy's swan song.... until 2004! www.apodcastandacd.com @ApodcastandaCD
Van Halen released their first live album in 1993. There was live videos in the past but this was their first "official" live album. I decided after recording my "Balance" episode to go back and make an episode for this album. Listen in to hear my thoughts and memories! www.apodcastandacd.com @APodcastandaCD
