Tanzanian Christians worried about Muslim threats
In several Muslim-majority communities along Tanzania’s coast in eastern Africa along the Indian Ocean, small Christian churches continue to worship under growing pressure, with pastors and congregations describing intimidation, disruption, and insecurity, reports International Christian Concern.
For many believers in Zanzibar and parts of coastal Tanzania, where 99 percent of the population is Muslim, church leaders say some congregations have experienced threats, harassment, and occasional attacks.
One pastor said, “When a church is threatened, it is not only a building that is affected. People begin to fear even the simple act of coming together to pray. Mothers worry about bringing their children, and some believers spend the entire service looking over their shoulders instead of worshipping freely.”

Trump, Hegseth clashed over missile depletion concerns
President Donald Trump’s frustration over the Iran war boiled over at Camp David last week, where he demanded answers from War Secretary Pete Hegseth on why he had apparently been misled on extreme munitions shortages that now threaten to limit military options with Iran, reports The Washington Post.
President Trump vented at Hegseth that he thought the munitions issue “had been fixed.”
The shortages, particularly in long-range guided missiles and air-defense interceptors, have been part of the reason President Trump has pulled back from launching additional massive strikes against Iran in recent days.
Senate Republicans hold Dr. Fauci in contempt of Congress
Senate Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, in contempt of Congress after he declined to answer lawmakers’ questions during a fiery hearing last week, reports NBC News.
Fauci, who has been a target of the right since he served as a top health official during the Covid pandemic, invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times during the hearing, explaining in his opening remarks that he believed Republicans would try to use his testimony to prosecute him.
However, Fauci had been given a full and unconditional pardon by President Joe Biden before he left office on January 19, 2025.
In an 8-5 party-line vote, Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee held Fauci in contempt.
Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, the committee chair, said, “We are voting on whether a witness who has received the benefit of a sweeping federal pardon can be ordered by this committee to answer questions and then defy that order without consequence.”
He added, “I ordered him to answer and warned him about contempt, yet he still refused. That is obstruction of a congressional investigation.”
The committee can refer the contempt of Congress resolution directly to the Justice Department or request that Senate Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakota hold a full Senate vote.
Senator Paul said the committee would hand-deliver the referral to the Justice Department. Contempt of Congress is a criminal misdemeanor offense punishable by up to a $100,000 fine and one year in jail.
Proverbs 18:12 says, “Before a downfall, the heart is haughty …”
In an impromptu press conference, Senator Paul insisted that Dr. Fauci be held accountable for the COVID-19 pandemic.
PAUL: “A million Americans died, and I think they deserve to know the truth. Anthony Fauci has advocated for dangerous gain-of-function research for two decades now. The question ‘why’ is not a question that he can have liability for.
“He was given a pardon. Interestingly, the pardon starts in 2014. That’s when the funding of the lab in Wuhan, [China] started. So, I think he should answer questions. As far as pleading the Fifth [Amendment] when you have a pardon, all you have to do is tell the truth, just not commit a new crime. So, I think the American people do deserve to know this.
“This is the same Anthony Fauci who said, in a Washington Post op-ed in 2011, even if a pandemic should start from a lab, if someone’s bitten in a lab or the virus escapes the lab, that the knowledge would be worth the risks. I don’t think many Americans believe that!
“This deserves to be thoroughly, exhaustively debated, so we don’t do this again.”
Christian congressman: Dr. Fauci under divine judgment
Appearing with Fox News Host Brian Kilmeade on July 27th, Republican Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee talked about the recent revelations from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s pandemic-era diary entries which showed a fixation on his own “explosive” fame, reports The Christian Post.
KILMEADE: “Congressman, we saw this, but now we can read this. What changes about how this guy is perceived once and for all?”
BURCHETT: “I think his arrogance shows. The Bible talks about professing themselves to be wise; they became fools. We closed down mom-and-pop operations. Jewish and Christian fellowships were shut down. The big boys were allowed to stay open. This thing was a disaster from the start, and we celebrated this guy, [meaning Fauci].”
The phrase from Romans 1:22-28, which is part of the Apostle Paul’s larger indictment against the pagan world, describes the corruption and prideful self-delusion that afflicts the minds of those who reject God. The refusal to worship God leads to a litany of self-destructive sins that ends with God abandoning individuals and societies “to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.”
Southwest Airlines blocks ICE from detaining illegal aliens on 6 flights
Firm in the belief that immigration enforcement is bad for business, Southwest Airlines is pushing back hard against efforts to detain illegal immigrants at U.S. airports, reports The Western Journal.
A report from the Wall Street Journal highlights a July 25 incident in which an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent tried to board a Southwest Airlines jet in Dallas.
The agent was prevented from carrying out his duties by Southwest Airlines. The Dallas-based airline staff also refused to share passenger information with ICE.
In recent weeks, a half-dozen other incidents involving Southwest have taken place. The incidents occur as ICE has been broadening their efforts to arrest illegal aliens at airports.

Planned Parenthood sues Trump over denial of Title X funding
And finally, Planned Parenthood is suing the Trump administration to challenge updated Title X funding guidelines issued earlier this year that could render the abortion giant ineligible for so-called “family planning” grants, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
In April, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services issued updated guidelines for Title X applications, which drop contraception promotion in favor of “natural family planning methods,” tout an objective to “strengthen family formation and assist clients in achieving healthy pregnancies,” and require applicants to reject abortion as a method of family planning.
The new standards threaten to disqualify longtime Title X recipients such as Planned Parenthood. As a result, the nation’s largest abortion chain announced on July 29 that it is suing the Trump administration over them.
Isaiah 59:7 describes the abortion giant to a “t.”
“Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity. Desolation and destruction mark their ways.”

Algerian, African church going underground
The Protestant church in Algeria is going underground.
The Muslim-majority country is located in North Africa. Authorities there have shut down nearly all Evangelical churches over the past decade. Many Christians now meet secretly in homes.
One Algerian pastor told Morning Star News, “The situation is undeniably difficult because we are deprived of fellowship. But God’s work must not stop. We desperately lack Bibles and Christian books, as customs officials systematically confiscate them even when friends bring them from the West.”
Algeria is ranked 20th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the worst countries for the persecution of Christians.
British soldiers are asking about Christ
Faith is increasing in the British military.
Army chaplains report more recruits are asking about Christianity, attending services, and requesting baptism.
Dr. Martin Gliniecki is the executive director of the Soldiers’ and Aviators’ Scripture Readers Association. He told Christian Today, “We have prayed for revival in our nation for many years now and … revival in our Armed Forces too. Something is happening. While our Armed Forces are the smallest in modern history, the harvest remains plentiful.”
In Luke 10:2, Jesus said, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
British millionaire stands up for persecuted street preachers
A British millionaire is standing up for persecuted street preachers.
Businessman Samuel Leeds has pledged to fund the legal representation of Christian street preachers who are targeted by police.
He told Truth Times, “We see Christians being persecuted all over the world, but seeing it happen in Great Britain — seeing the disdain, the hatred, and now the oppression of Christian voices — really bothers me. … Where Christians are being unfairly targeted simply for preaching their faith, I’m prepared to put my money behind defending them.”
Amen!
Democrat primary voters elect another leftist
The left wing of the Democratic Party continues to win election primaries.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, whose parents came to America from Egypt, won the Democrat primary for U.S. Senate in Michigan on Tuesday. The 41-year-old is an epidemiologist who received his Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University, served as director of the Department of Health, Human, and Veterans Services of Wayne County, Michigan, from 2023 to 2025, and was a candidate in the 2018 Michigan gubernatorial election.
EL-SAYED: “What a race! You know, in the words of Muhammad Ali, we shook up the world!”
Endorsed by socialist Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, among other leftists, he narrowly defeated Congresswoman Haley Stevens, a pro-Israel moderate Democrat.
Remarkably, super PACs, political action committees, spent $60 million on the race, supporting Stevens 9-1.
El-Sayed champions the abolition of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement known as ICE, ending most U.S. military aid to Israel, and wants a universal, government-funded health insurance program that covers everyone.

EL-SAYED: “So, whether you voted for me or voted for my opponent or didn’t vote at all, we’re inviting you to that movement to get money out of politics, so we can put money back in pockets, and finally guarantee the promise of health care through Medicare for All.”
If elected in November, Abdul El-Sayed would be the first Muslim in the Senate.
Democrats are moving left
The views of Democrats are shifting further to the left.
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll found 71 percent of Democrats label themselves as liberal. That’s up from 55 percent in 2012.
Most liberal Democrats identify certain positions as essential to being a liberal. These include increasing taxes on corporations and billionaires, expanding access to abortion, and government provided healthcare coverage.
In Romans 13:4, the Apostle Paul identified different priorities for government: “For [a ruler] is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”
Amazon hits $3 trillion in market value
Amazon became the fifth company to reach $3 trillion dollars in market value on Monday.
The tech company saw growth in its cloud-computing services as demand for Artificial Intelligence surges.
Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, and Nvidia are the other companies that have reached a market value of $3 trillion dollars in the past.
Doctors successfully operated on baby in the womb
And finally, doctors successfully operated on a baby while still in the womb.
Baby Theo was diagnosed with a severe intestinal defect in the womb. Indeed, his intestines were completely outside his body. Such cases can require many surgeries after birth, and babies do not always survive.
Parents Maisie Savage and Josh French live in London. They were referred to a clinical trial at Texas Children’s Hospital.
At 26 weeks of pregnancy, surgeons conducted the groundbreaking operation. It’s the first surgery of its kind in the U.S.
Praise God! Baby Theo was born full-term in February. Josh recently told Good Morning America that Theo is thriving.

Muslims killed 20 Christians in Congo
Islamic militants killed over 20 people in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo last month.
The Muslims killed a church elder and a worship leader in the village of Mangina. A local pastor told Open Doors, “Fear is increasing. Brothers and sisters, please intercede for the safety of the rural commune of Mangina and for the strengthening of the faith of Christians.”
Such attacks are common in the country as Islamic extremists try to eradicate the presence of Christians.
According to Open Doors, Congo, Africa is the 29th worst country worldwide for the persecution of Christians.
70,000 Muslim migrants stormed Ceuta, Spain
Over 70,000 migrants stormed the Spanish North African enclave city of Ceuta. Most were young men from the Muslim-majority country of Morocco.
The Spanish city of Ceuta borders Morocco and is home to just over 80,000 people. Spain deployed its military in response to the surge of migrants, sending most of them back as of yesterday.
Dozens reportedly died in the crossing. A local pastor told Evangelical Focus, “Pray for our city, for the authorities, and for all the staff working on the front line. … We hope that the Lord will allow us to be a beacon of hope and support for our city.”
In Matthew 5:16, Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.”
Todd Blanche nomination for Attorney General heads to Senate floor
On August 3rd, the Senate Judiciary Committee advanced the nomination of Todd Blanche as U.S. Attorney General after he struck a deal with two GOP holdouts, reports The Epoch Times.
Republican Senators Thom Tillis of North Carolina and John Cornyn of Texas had opposed Blanche because of concerns over a settlement that the Department of Justice negotiated with President Donald Trump in his suit against the IRS.
On August 2, Blanche said that he formally terminated a nearly $1.8 billion fund that would have given payments to victims of government weaponization. Tillis and Cornyn subsequently issued a statement on August 3 pledging their support.
The Senate Committee voted 12–10, along party lines, to advance Blanche’s nomination. It now heads to the Senate floor for a final confirmation vote, where he can afford to lose only two Republican votes, assuming all Democrats will be opposed and GOP Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky will be absent due to illness.
Contact your two U.S. Senators by email and phone — whatever their party affiliation might be — and urge them to vote for Todd Blanche as U.S. Attorney General. Do not assume that every Republican Senator will vote for him. And do not assume that every Democrat Senator will vote against him. Just speak your mind and leave the results ion God’s hands.
Georgia must reinstate Christian education program
In the United States, a district court ruled that a Georgia school district must reinstate a Christian education program.
Sweet Onion Christian Learning Center provided free, off-campus religious instruction for students at Vidalia High School. However, school officials canceled the program after its leader criticized a proposed tax increase on his Facebook page.
With the help of Alliance Defending Freedom, the learning center challenged this in court and won.
Planned Parenthood has closed 57 abortion mills since 2025
Planned Parenthood is closing three of its facilities in Michigan. The abortion giant is facing $5.6 million in losses in the state.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act temporarily defunded Planned Parenthood last year. The funding pause expired last month. However, it did cause many locations to shut down.
The American Life League reports that Planned Parenthood has closed 57 locations since January 2025.
U.S. economic growth slowed in second quarter
U.S. economic growth slowed during the second quarter of this year.
The Gross Domestic Product increased at an annual rate of 1.5 percent. That’s down from 2.1 percent during the first quarter. The slower growth was due in part to a decrease in government spending.
In-N-Out Burger President urges those in Idaho to turn to God
The owner of In-N-Out Burger spoke out after a tragic shooting at one of the company’s locations.
The shooting happened at a newly opened In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho on Saturday. Three people died, including an In-N-Out associate.
Lynsi Snyder is the owner and president of In-N-Out Burger. She wrote, “In-N-Out will be mourning with the families and praying for them as they tread through a very painful season. I am no stranger to loss, but this is so incredibly tough, and my heart also goes out to all of the Associates and Customers who were there during this traumatic event. I love you all, and I ask you to turn to God, not in anger, but seeking comfort and strength for those who are hurting.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

On July 31st, Iris Williams in Wasilla, Alaska wrote me and said, “Adam, we have listened as the Lord has opened hearts and provided financial support to The Worldview in 5 Minutes! This has been an exciting month as my husband Thomas, me, and our 8 children — Toby, Aubri, Trygg, Trevor, Tyndale, Taleb, Kimber and Torben — have listened each morning after breakfast as part of our Bible time. Anonymous New York donor enables us to reach the finish line
And, yesterday morning, Tuesday, August 4th, I heard from an anonymous donor in New York. I was blown away by what he wrote. I started reading it to my children and, you guessed it, I started crying. I asked Mercy, my 14-year-old daughter, to finish reading it since I got choked up.
He wrote, “I just listened to your Worldview in 5 Minutes and was moved to get you guys across the finish line. I sent the remaining $950 that you guys needed.
“I just want to let you know that you have encouraged me.
“Adam, I pray two things for you. First, I pray that you are encouraged by the gifts that shower your ministry. And second, I pray that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ continues to use you and your program to share not only the news, but the grace of God.”

Amnesty Int’l apologized for smearing Christians and pro-lifers
Some good news on the Christian persecution front today.
In the apology, Amnesty admitted the report “should never have been published” and fell “significantly short” of its standards for research.
The report had attacked the Evangelical Alliance, Christian Concern, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, The Christian Institute, The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association UK as well as crisis pregnancy centers.
Oil is slowing through Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-al-Mandab strait
Transporting oil and other goods out of the Middle East has become a real problem. Now the problem has reached its highest crisis point since the wars in the region fired up in the spring.
BBC reports the situation is far worse now, with Iranian pressure at the Strait of Hormuz, and Yemen Houthi pressure put on the Bab-al-Mandab Strait into the Red Sea.
Only 10-15 ships a day pass through the Strait of Hormuz. That’s about one-eighth the normal shipping flow. And the Bab-Al-Mandab Strait is only getting about 25-30 ships a day. That’s about half the normal flow.
Saudi Arabia and Iran’s economies both took a hit
Saudi Arabia’s economy took a 4.8% hit in the 2nd Quarter of this year. Iran is looking at a 5.4% decline for the year, according to International Monetary Fund numbers.
Iran is also dealing with 68% inflation this year.
Drought and fires impacting Europe
God’s hand has fallen hard on Western Europe.
The United Kingdom experienced its driest July in nearly 200 years. Much of the nation is in drought. France recently battled its largest recorded wildfire, following months of drought and extreme heat.
Parts of the Danube River have dropped to the lowest levels in 30 years. Italy’s River Po has also registered a historic low. And Germany’s Rhine River is at its lowest level since 2018.
And fires in Spain and France took down over a million acres, resulting in the destruction of about 300 structures.
Syrians & Haitians, here temporarily, were supposed to self deport Monday
Here in the United States, 356,000 U.S. immigrants on Temporary Protected Status were ordered to leave by August 3rd.
Presently this affects Syrians and Haitians, but may eventually impact another 1,000,000 immigrants from other countries.
This comes after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling issued last month backed the Trump administration’s policy to end Temporary Protected Status.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security website is encouraging self-deportation, offering free travel, and a $2,600 bonus to get them out.
New York is pushing assisted suicide and the nuns are pushing back
The state of New York is pushing medically-assisted suicide, and a group of Catholic nuns are protesting.
The Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm and the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne have been granted a reprieve by a federal district court.
They will not have to counsel terminally ill patients or assist them with medically assisted suicide, at least for now, according to the Beckett Fund for Religious Liberty.
Christian physician assistant vindicated for opposing transgender insanity
A Christian physician’s assistant won her court case in Michigan.
Valerie Kloosterman, a University of Michigan Health-West health worker, was fired five years ago, because of her stance against transgenderism and her affirmation of biblical principles.

Armed citizens stopped mass murderer at Idaho In-N-Out Burgers
Two armed citizens stopped a mass murderer at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho over the weekend.
Police Chief Matthew Hicks recognized the two heroes for their courageous actions taken when they returned fire on the assailant.
HICKS: “We can confirm that there was an off-duty state trooper and a citizen who actively engaged the suspect by returning gunfire towards him. We want to take a moment and commend the actions of the off-duty officer and the citizen and their heroic action to stop this incident. We believe their actions helped drive the suspect away from the scene, preventing further casualties.”
Three died and seven more were wounded in the rampage. The suspect, who used an AR-style rifle, now identified as Chad Williams, died as a result of self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
The New York Post reported that Terry Dudley, a taxi driver in Twin Falls, was among those hit by bullets, according to a GoFundMe account to raise money for his medical expenses. Dudley, a widower and father-of-four, was shot twice in the back as he charged his Tesla.
Massachusetts considers birthday abortions without exceptions
The state of Massachusetts is on the verge of allowing abortions up until birth without any exceptions.
Dr. Christina Francis with the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, commented on the measure. She said, “It is never medically necessary to purposely end the life of a pre-born child in order to save her mother. Under certain circumstances where a pregnancy complication threatens a mother’s life, a physician must separate mom from baby, sometimes when the baby is too young to survive outside the womb.”
Both houses have approved the bill — now awaiting the governor’s signature. Maura Healey is Massachusetts’s first lesbian governor.

Support for homosexual faux marriage is collapsing in the states.
The latest YouGov Economist poll finds only 54% of Americans now in favor of legalizing the practice, while 32% oppose.
The percentage of those who approved of the legalization of homosexual faux marriage peaked in the United States about three years ago at 70%.
Washington state fires burned 6,000 acres
Those fires in Washington state have burned down about 6,000 acres, including 700 structures.
Over 60,000 people have been evacuated from the Spokane area.
Christian singer Whitney Lynn’s website describes her as an internationally-recognized evangelist, singer, songwriter, and deliverance minister with millions of Instagram views.
Last week, before an Alaska Airlines flight took off because of some delay, Whitney stood up and boldly shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a relevant and pithy manner to the captive audience on the plane.
Listen to what she said as she filmed herself.
LYNN: “Hello, everybody. Good morning. I know we’re all waiting. It’s kind of frustrating, right? This wait? But I want to tell you that God’s timing is perfect, and God knows everything. Maybe He’s sparing us from danger today.
“So, I want you to rest and know that Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died on the cross for your sins. He rose again in three days. He’s alive and He’s the one true God. But the wages of our sin is death. Hell forever.
“Apart from Jesus, we won’t make it to Heaven. But He loves you so much. Make him Lord. Repent of your sins. He is coming back very soon. I pray protection over this flight, in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
Oddly enough, the airline staff said they felt “unsafe” and proceeded to escort her off the plane.
As she was making her way down the aisle to get off the plane, Whitney dialogued with a male Alaska Airlines flight attendant on video.
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “The crews don’t feel safe with you.”
LYNN: “They don’t feel safe?
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “Yeah.”
LYNN: “Oh my gosh! I didn’t know the message of Jesus Christ was unsafe. Wow! Do I have any guns or anything like that? No, I don’t.
“So, freedom of speech is not safe. I tell you what this is. It’s called spiritual warfare. Is it a crime? Is it against the law? Can you tell me that? I’m just asking you a question.
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “I’m not going to answer any more questions.”
LYNN: “I’m getting my stuff as I’m talking. So, can you answer the question? Is it against the law? To preach the gospel?
FLIGHT ATTENDANT: “I don’t need to answer any questions.”
LYNN: “You can. You sure can. Last days. People can’t talk about Jesus anymore. That’s how you know there’s power in that name. Makes people feel unsafe. That’s sad, very sad.
“Well, God bless everybody. If you know Jesus today, make Him Lord of your life and continue to spread the Gospel. Persecuted to be a Christian, it’s coming. We’re gonna go to jail.”
Whitney Lynn has now been banned for future travel on Alaskan Airlines as well as a few other carriers.

Benjamin Netanyahu and Volodymyr Zelensky met Trump at White House
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with President Trump at the White House in Washington D.C. last week, reports the Guardian.
For Netanyahu, it was his first time back at the White House since hostilities commenced with Iran in late February. The meeting also comes as domestic support for Israel continues to slip, while the Iran war is driving up oil prices before the midterms.
In his meeting with Zelensky, President Trump discussed ongoing support for the Ukrainian war effort against Russia. Zelensky stated, “We also spoke about diplomacy. It’s important that the diplomatic process be reinvigorated. Our teams will arrange the details of their further communication. I am grateful to the United States for its firm support.”

Equipping the Persecuted’s warnings about endangered Nigerian Christians unheeded
On July 1st, Equipping The Persecuted issued multiple terror alerts warning that Islamist Fulani Ethnic Militia were preparing coordinated attacks in Nigeria against Christian communities in the Plateau, Benue, and Southern Kaduna states. They publicly pleaded with the Nigerian government to protect these vulnerable villages before it was too late.
Tragically, their warnings were ignored. In the three weeks since, more than 250 Christians have been murdered in the very communities they identified.
The latest massacre took place on Saturday, August 1st in Naridon village in Southern Kaduna, where more than 30 Christians were slaughtered as terrorists attacked for hours. Once again, innocent families paid the price while help never came.
Equipping The Persecuted is the only organization consistently issuing terror alerts to warn vulnerable Christian communities before attacks occur while also deploying immediate emergency aid when those attacks happen. Senator Hawley to Dr. Fauci: “A million people dead. You’re getting rich!”
As The Worldview reported last Friday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee questioned Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, about his culpability in a cover-up about the source of the COVID-19 virus and what happened subsequently.
Shockingly, Dr. Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times, reported FoxNews.
Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri got righteously angry.
HAWLEY: “Well, nothing says honesty like taking the Fifth, huh Doc? Let’s try something. What day of the week is it today?”
FAUCI: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.”
HAWLEY: “What color tie are you wearing?”
FAUCI: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.”
HAWLEY: “Let’s just get one thing straight. You don’t have any rights under the Fifth Amendment because you’ve been pardoned, as you very well know, as the Supreme Court has been clear for a century and more. Brown vs Walker, 1896: ‘When he has been pardoned, he may not stand upon his privilege.’
“You know that. Your lawyers sitting behind you, now shifting nervously in their chairs, they know it. This isn’t about the Constitution. This isn’t about the law. This is about contempt — contempt for this body and contempt for the American people.
“But I think I know why you’re doing it. It’s because you don’t want to answer questions. It’s because you did all kinds of terrible things. It’s because during the pandemic you got rich. I mean, your net worth now is north of $12 million!
“You got over a million dollars in cash awards during COVID, during a 24-month span during COVID. A million bucks you knocked down in cash money using federal resources. Now you’re worth more than $12 million. You’ve got a pension that, in its first year, paid out north of $400,000 a year.
“A million people dead. You’re getting rich! A million people dead. You’re using federal employees to get cash awards for you. A million people dead, and you’re here taking the Fifth because you don’t want to admit that what really happened in all that time was a multi-month, multi-year course of self-dealing. Isn’t that true, Dr. Fauci?”
FAUCI: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer, based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.”
HAWLEY: “Yeah, well, silence is admission. And here’s the real thing. At the end of the day, it wasn’t just about the money, really. Was it? It was really about a power trip. I mean, through all of this, you wanted to be the most famous scientist in the world. You were so focused on getting every award and every drop of cash that you could, all because you wanted to be on TV.
“You wanted to be the ‘sun god’ of science. You wanted to be the guy who was in charge of it all. You wanted to lambast Trump. You wanted to make sure that nobody else stole your spotlight. You wanted to be ‘the guy.’
“You had time to sit for InStyle magazine. Here’s what you were doing with your time. You could sit for InStyle Magazine, but you can’t answer questions for the American people. You could sit for InStyle Magazine, but you’re here taking the Fifth. You could sit for InStyle Magazine and get a million bucks in cash awards, but now the cat’s got your tongue. I bet he does. I tell you what.
“Here’s my conclusion from all of this. This was really all about you the whole time. Somewhere along the way, you lost your way. You may have been a good public servant at one time. I don’t know, but I can tell you from reading your emails now, from looking at what you did, how you used your employees. Somewhere along the line, it became all about you.
“You became a narcissist and a megalomaniac and a liar. You’ve lied to the American people, and you’ve lied to this body, and you’ve disgraced your profession by doing it. You called yourself ‘the most famous scientist in the world.’ You’ve done more to harm science than anybody in my lifetime, and I hope you’ll go home and write that in your diary.”
Romans 14:12 says, “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.”

When can someone plead the Fifth?
The Pour Over media outlet addressed when someone can plead the Fifth Amendment. Any time a statement is compelled and might incriminate you. If someone is asked to testify or hand over evidence that could get them prosecuted, they can plead the Fifth.
Is there anything that can override someone’s Fifth Amendment right? Yes: immunity or a pardon which Dr. Fauci had from President Joe Biden. Pardoned people are exempt from prosecution, meaning they cannot incriminate themselves, and therefore should be allowed to invoke the Fifth Amendment.
Leftist TV Host SHOCKED about our God-given rights
Back on July 5, 2025, House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana, an Evangelical, affirmed that our rights come from God, not government, something he has affirmed many times since then.
JOHNSON: “We are so blessed. We should not take it for granted. We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal. It does not say born equal. It says created equal.
“It is our Creator that gives us our rights. We are the first nation in the history of the world that acknowledged that our rights do not derive from government. They come from God Himself. (cheers) Those words up there, that motto, it says, “In God we trust” right above the speaker’s rostrum.
“Congress voted to put that there as a rebuke to the Soviets’ worldview at the height of the Cold War. Why? Because communism, socialism find their root in Marxism, and Marxism begins with the belief that there is no God. It’s wrong, and this Congress made a stand those many years ago, and we should do it again.
“We’re different. We’re distinct. We’re exceptional because we acknowledge that right there.”
On July 27th, 2026, Speaker Johnson’s affirmation that our rights come from God got under the skin of leftist TV host Katy Tur on MS NOW, formerly called MSNBC, She moderated a panel in which she questioned the legitimacy of that claim.

TUR: “What about this passage from Mike Johnson declaring that ‘our rights do not derive from government, they come from You, our Creator and Heavenly Father.’ Is this him putting God over the Declaration of Independence?”
Needless to say, the most famous line of the Declaration of Independence says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Jarrett Stepman of The Daily Signal rightly points out that “the concept that God is ‘above’ the Declaration of Independence is in the Declaration of Independence. God’s law supersedes man’s law. Governments that deprive citizens of rights endowed by their Creator, without due process, are bad governments and are possibly illegitimate.”
One of Katy Tur’s guests on the leftist MS NOW network, Atlantic writer McKay Coppins, weighed in. He noted that her audience may not be familiar with the concept of God-given rights.
COPPINS: “That idea is not wholly uncommon. I mean the idea that we have unalienable rights that come from God can be read in a fairly benign way — which is basically that we have innate human rights, that our Constitution and our democratic government, are meant to codify.
“The thing that might alarm some people is some of the rhetoric that we heard at this rally that we are in a spiritual battle, that the forces of good and evil are at work here, and that partisan politics is injected directly into the spiritual, Biblical rhetoric.
“We have heard that for the last couple of years. It’s been ratcheted up more and more, especially since Donald Trump lost in 2020. It can lead to some pretty dangerous places.”
Lesbian co-owner of Seattle WNBA team fined for confrontation w/Christian teens
As The Worldview reported on July 27th, 29-year-old Sophie Cunningham, an outspoken Christian WNBA player on the Indiana Fever team, has publicly opposed biological males competing in female sports and coming into female bathrooms and locker rooms.
During the July 28th game against the Seattle Storm, two teenage girls, wearing XX-XY Athletics t-shirts, held a sign which read, “Thank you Sophie for speaking up for girls,” reports The Christian Post.
Those shirts and the sign got under the skin of Celeste Keaton, a lesbian co-owner of the Seattle Storm who is faux married to co-owner Lisa Brummel.
Romans 1:24 and 26 says, “Therefore, God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. … God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.”
Not only did Keaton use foul language, calling the teen girls “insane,” but Keaton also claimed that somehow Jesus needed to forgive the Christian girls for affirming God’s design of men and women.
In an interview with Brandi Kruse, who organized an event affirming Cunningham outside the arena, one of the teen girls explained what happened.
TEENAGE GIRL: “We were just sitting there with our signs that said, ‘We love Sophie. Thank you, Sophie, for speaking up.’ Watching the game, being super respectful. We’re just holding our signs and cheering for both teams.
“And this lady, older lady, comes up to us. ‘Oh, I hope Jesus can forgive you for what sin you’ve done.’”
Kruse interjected that she noticed the girl was crying. The girl agreed and said this.
TEENAGE GIRL: “I’ve never been yelled at like that. I mean, I’ve had people hate on me on the internet, but that just took me by surprise because I thought she was gonna be nice. And then she started screaming at us. It’s disappointing though too, because she’s also a woman, and she just cussed out two 16-year-olds that were just trying to have fun. We’re just trying to support Sophie.”
Sophie Cunningham complimented the teens and blasted the Seattle Storm lesbian co-owner.
Thankfully, the WNBA fined Keaton an undisclosed amount and suspended her from attending the Storm’s next five home games, reports Fox13.
In response, the Storm organization said, “We respect the league’s decision to fine and suspend co-owner Celeste Keaton. We remain committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for anyone who attends a Storm game.”
In an X post, Sophie Cunningham wrote, “Bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe.” She added that she was embarrassed about Seattle Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton’s actions, saying, ”Shows the type of leader she is.”

Syrians in America have to leave the country
The expiration of Temporary Protected Status for Syrians in America this week has renewed attention on the fragile security environment facing civilians in Syria, particularly Christians who remain vulnerable 18 months after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s dictatorship in this 87% Muslim country, reports International Christian Concern.
Temporary Protected Status is a humanitarian immigration designation that allows nationals of countries experiencing armed conflict to remain and work legally in the United States for a limited period. The designation does not provide a pathway to permanent residency but shields recipients from deportation while conditions in their home country are deemed unsafe for return.
In December 2024, rebel forces, led by Ahmed al-Sharaa, forced al-Assad from power. Al-Sharaa’s group had previously been associated with Muslim jihadist movements, including al-Qaeda.
Before the Syrian civil war, Christians represented a significant minority of Syria’s population concentrated in Damascus — where the Apostle Paul was converted on the street.
While Christians have not experienced the same level of targeted mass violence as other groups, there has been harassment and attacks on Christian communities.
President Trump floats temporarily pulling Blache nomination to be AG
President Donald Trump said on July 30 that he was willing to temporarily withdraw his nomination of Todd Blanche to be Attorney General until next year, if two Republican senators continued to withhold their support, reports The Epoch Times.
Blanche’s nomination has been held up in the Senate Judiciary Committee after Republican Senators John Cornyn of Texas and Thom Tillis of North Carolina said they would not back bringing it to the floor for a full vote. Those two votes are necessary for the nomination to advance.
Earlier this year, both Cornyn and Tillis lost their bid for re-election after President Trump endorsed their opponents during the primaries. The president now intends to wait them out.
In the meantime, Blanche will remain the acting head of the Department of Justice.

Dr. Fauci invoked Fifth Amendment 90 times in GOP-led committee
In a hearing of the Senate’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on July 29th, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, announced in his opening statement that he would invoke the Fifth Amendment and not answer any questions about his culpability in a cover-up about the source of the COVID-19 virus or what happened subsequently.

FAUCI: “Members of the committee, I served at the NIH for over 54 years, 38 of those as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Over that period, I proved that I believe in and respect the value of legitimate congressional oversight. In fact, I testified before and/or briefed Senate and House committees well over 200 times over those 38 years. During and after the COVID pandemic, I have appeared multiple times for hearings in the Senate and the House, usually under oath, and sat for several days-long, transcribed, sworn interviews answering questions about the very issues that are now the subject of this hearing.
“However, given Senator [Rand] Paul‘s obvious obsession with calling for my prosecution, his repeated slanderous comments about me, and recently his publicly releasing my unredacted personal diary aimed at embarrassing and intimidating me, the only conclusion I can reach is that the sole reason he is calling me before this committee is to get me to say something, anything, that could vindicate his repeated public pledges that I end up, in his words, ‘behind bars’.
“Any reasonable person who has followed his unhinged obsession with me would readily come to the same conclusion. Therefore, although it pains me to do so because of the respect I have for the legislative branch of government and my decades-long record of cooperating with Congress, under the advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right, under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution, to refrain from answering your questions.”
Over the course of his time in front of the Senate Committee, Dr. Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment a whopping 111 times, reports Fox News.
Dr. Fauci stonewalled Senator Rand Paul numerous times
Dr. Anthony Fauci repeatedly stonewalled Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, the Chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
The senator started with asking about former President Joe Biden’s bizarre “full and unconditional” pardon of Dr. Fauci.
PAUL: “As a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, or the White House COVID-19 Response Team, or as Chief Medical Advisor to the President, have you refused this pardon? Or do you have any reason to believe this full and unconditional pardon, this grant of immunity, would somehow require you to plead the Fifth Amendment?”
FAUCI: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer, based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.”
PAUL: “Based on the facts presented, I’m going to direct you to answer the questions. The committee has issued a valid subpoena. They have requested your presence here. The questions are very pertinent to your decision making as head of [the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases], as well as a chief advisor to the president, do you still refuse to answer the questions?”
FAUCI: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer, based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.”
PAUL: “Were you ever made aware of gain-of-function research on monkeypox being conducted at the National Bio Defense Analysis and Countermeasures Center, and back at Fort Detrick, [the center of the U.S. biological weapons program from 1943 to 1969]?”
FAUCI: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer, based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.”
PAUL: “Dr. Fauci, did the CIA ever transfer funds to [the National Institutes of Health] under interagency agreement?”
FAUCI: “On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer, based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.”
And Senator Rand Paul took this parting shot.
PAUL: “The chairman has denied your assertion of privilege and directed you to answer, but you nonetheless refuse and stand on privilege despite the existence of the pardon. The committee will have to consider after this hearing what appropriate action should be taken against you for the failure to testify after being directed to do so.
“It’s against the law to obstruct an investigation of Congress. There will be repercussions to your refusal to testify today.”
Watchdog group: Medical groups should condemn transgender surgeries on minors
The medical watchdog group, Do No Harm, is calling on 10 major medical associations to explicitly condemn transgender genital surgeries on minors, reports The Daily Signal.
On July 29th, Do No Harm sent open letters to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Medical Association among others.
In the letter, the group wrote, “Do No Harm, and its 54,000 members, are calling on your society to publicly reject genital surgery on minors for the purpose of producing [so-called] ‘gender transitions.’ While this process is uncommon, we believe that it should never occur.”
In Matthew 19:4, Jesus asked, “Have you not read that [God], who created them from the beginning, made them male and female?”
Marijuana should not be reclassified as a less dangerous drug
Marijuana could be reclassified as a less dangerous substance under federal law.
Kevin Sabet, CEO of Smart Approaches to Marijuana and the former drug policy advisor for the Clinton, George W. Bush and Obama presidential administrations as well as President Trump’s former U.S. Attorney General William Barr, thinks that would be a terrible idea.
He said that reclassifying marijuana as a drug with accepted medical use and a lower risk of abuse than drugs subject to greater controls would be reckless.
Sabet added, “The evidence presented at the hearing confirmed what decades of data have shown: Raw marijuana has no scientifically established medical value and carries a high risk of abuse. Today’s marijuana is more dangerous than ever before. [Reclassifying] marijuana would create the false impression that it is safe, would reduce penalties for peddling the drug illegally and would give those who purvey it legally a huge tax windfall. That would be a disaster.”
The Department of Justice held a hearing last month to consider it at President Donald Trump’s request.
Despite the fact that President Trump is a teetotaler who eschews alcohol and drugs, he told his administration last December to push forward on easing marijuana restrictions, after an aggressive lobbying push by advocates including a cannabis CEO, a Florida sheriff, and a Mar-a-Lago member, the Wall Street Journal previously reported.
Jim Daly, President of Focus on the Family, previously wrote, “Use of cannabis increases a person’s chance of developing a bipolar disorder or schizophrenia by an average of 47%. It’s also shown to significantly increase hallucinations and paranoia.
“In fact, it’s been determined that regular use of medical marijuana leads to a higher chance of heart attack, stroke and coronary artery disease. … If the established goal is to make America healthy and great again, this objective will not be reached by increasing access to poisonous pot.”
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, the Apostle Paul asked, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”

Iranian Muslim authorities shut down oldest Protestant church
Iranian officials recently shut down the oldest Protestant church in the country.
Christians have held worship services at St. Peter’s Evangelical Church in Tehran for 150 years. Authorities have now seized the property and banned church gatherings there. They also ordered 28 families living on the church compound to leave. Iran has been seizing Protestant church properties for years.
Mansour Khajehpour previously served as an elder at St. Peter’s Church. He told Christianity Today that the church in Iran grows despite persecution. He said, “This is the dynamic reality of the church. The church will not die. The church will grow, and we are a part of that church.”
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, “On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.”
United States launched strikes on Iran last night
Speaking of Iran, the United States began launching strikes on Iran at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 29th, according to the U.S. Central Command.
The U.S. attacks were “a powerful response to [Tuesday’s] attempted Iranian attacks on U.S. forces based in the Middle East.”
The attacks by Iran on U.S. forces did not get past U.S. defenses.
And The Western Journal reports that foreign governments are taking part in the fighting now, where they hadn’t before. For the first time, the Saudi Arabian military joined with the U.S. in striking Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, reports the Associated Press.
Retired Navy Vice Adm. Robert Harward, a retired SEAL and former deputy CENTCOM commander, said, “You see the Lebanese government making an agreement with Israel to undermine and try to get rid of Hezbollah.” He added, “You’re seeing the pressure build on Iran on all fronts.”
Ukrainian refugees have planted 160 churches across Europe
Millions of Ukrainians have fled their homes since Russia invaded the country in 2022. Despite this, these refugees have planted churches across Europe.
European Christian Mission International reports displaced Ukrainians have started 160 churches in Europe in the last four years.
A report from the organization stated, “Increasingly, Ukrainian believers are refusing to see themselves only as refugees. Instead, many are embracing a different calling – missionaries sent by God into the nations of Europe.”
Canadian labor board ruled in favor of COVID-shot rejecter
LifeSiteNews reports that a Canadian labor board ruled in favor of a Christian man who objected to the COVID-shot mandate.
The Canadian Revenue Agency suspended Steven Porter without pay after denying his religious exemption. The agency must now pay $5,000 in damages to Porter.
He wrote in his exemption request, “Christ is my supreme King and Lord and I am subject to His final authority alone in all matters of life, faith and conscience.”
In Acts 5:29, the apostles said, “We ought to obey God rather than men.”
Senator questions CDC’s billion-dollar COVID-shot contract to Pfizer
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention awarded $1.24 billion in COVID-shot contracts to Pfizer last month.
Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin questioned this decision in a letter to Secretary of Health & Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Johnson wrote, “The CDC’s reported awarding of approximately $1.24 billion in new contracts to Pfizer for a vaccine linked to serious adverse events—including potentially the deaths of children—suggests [that the] CDC continues to fail to take its vaccine safety responsibilities seriously.”
Pro-lifer Paul Vaughn got settlement over wrongful arrest

A pro-life, Christian father reached a $1 million settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice. The case involved his wrongful arrest under the Biden administration, reports Highlight Truth Ministries.
Federal agents raided the Tennessee home of Paul Vaughn in 2022 and arrested him for his pro-life activism.
My family and I had the honor of meeting Paul Vaughn several years ago. He’s an amazing Christian patriot.
Steve Crampton, Senior Counsel at the Thomas More Society, said, “This settlement is not just about one family. It is a warning and a precedent. The weaponization of federal law enforcement against pro-lifers, against people of faith, against those who dare to stand for the unborn—that era is over.”
Treasury has saved $99 million from going to dead recipients
The U.S. Department of the Treasury implemented a new payment verification process.
The safeguard has already kept about $99 million from being sent to deceased individuals.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said, “Treasury has delivered on a key promise of President Trump’s mandate to stop improper payments and fraud before money leaves the Treasury, and strengthen the integrity of the federal payment system.”
70th anniversary of America’s “In God We Trust” motto
Today is the 70th anniversary of when “In God We Trust” became America’s motto.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the law on July 30, 1956. The resolution also required the motto to appear on all U.S. currency.
Democratic Representative Charles Bennett of Florida introduced the resolution. He said, “Nothing can be more certain than that our country was founded in a spiritual atmosphere and with a firm trust in God. … In these days when imperialistic and materialistic communism seeks to attack and destroy freedom, we should continually look for ways to strengthen the foundations of our freedom.”

India looking to restrict foreign funding of Christian groups
India’s Parliament is considering a bill to restrict foreign funding of Christian and other faith-based groups.
The measure would allow authorities to seize the assets of such organizations if their registration is canceled. Officials have already canceled the registrations of over 22,000 non-governmental organizations.
Republican Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey is calling on the Trump administration to address this issue with India. He wrote, “If adopted, the bill would sharply expand the ability of the Indian state to seize the property and assets of groups that receive foreign funding — the vast majority of these being Christian churches and charities, such as hospitals and schools.”
According to Open Doors, India is the 12th worst country worldwide for the persecution of Christians.
In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
6.8-magnitude earthquake hit Japanese island
A 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit Japan’s southern island of Kyushu yesterday.
The quake caused a collapse at a shopping mall, killing several people. Dozens of people are missing or injured. The Fire and Disaster Management Agency advised over 260,000 people to evacuate the area.
Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority reported no issues with nearby nuclear power plants.
Please pray that God would comfort the Japanese families of those who have died and restore those who have been injured.
Senate confirmed Jay Clayton as Director of National Intelligence
The U.S. Senate voted on July 28 to confirm Jay Clayton, who was nominated by President Donald Trump to be the next Director of National Intelligence, reports The Epoch Times.
Clayton’s confirmation by the Senate came after the Senate Intelligence Committee voted 9–8 along party lines on July 21 to advance his nomination. He was ultimately confirmed with 51 senators’ support to 47 voting against.
SENATOR: “On this vote, the yeas are 51, the nays are 47, and the nomination is confirmed. And the president will be immediately notified of the Senate’s action.”
Previously, Jay Clayton served as the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York as well as the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission under President Trump’s first administration.
Justice Department affirmed parents’ right to disciple children
The United States Justice Department issued religious liberty guidance to all executive departments and agencies last week.
The memo reaffirmed many religious freedom protections in federal law. It also added a new piece of guidance.
The memo stated, “Parents have the right to direct the religious upbringing and education of their children. This right extends beyond a mere right to teach religion in the confines of one’s home and encompasses the choices parents make for their children outside the home.”
In Deuteronomy 6:6-7, God said, “These words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
Drinking water in three cities contained Abortion Kill Pill
A new peer-reviewed study found that the drinking water in multiple cities contained the Abortion Kill Pill called Mifepristone. Those cities include Austin, Texas; Blacksburg, Virginia; and Carbondale, Illinois.
For years, pro-life groups have been calling on the Environmental Protection Agency to track Mifepristone.
Kristan Hawkins with Students for Life of America stated, “A study inspired by [our] clean water advocacy shows that our concerns are valid. In three cities where water was tested, the active metabolites of Mifepristone, the Chemical Abortion Pill, were in the water. We need the EPA to nationalize this examination, especially in light of so many struggling with infertility.”
About 700,000 chemical abortions each year send long-lasting abortion drugs and human remains into America’s wastewater systems.
Mifepristone blocks progesterone, thus starving the baby. This drug has long-lasting metabolites that remain in the water because the water treatment plants are generally not capable of filtering out these chemicals.
GOP Congresswoman Mary Miller of Illinois has introduced the Clean Water for All Life Act.
Appearing on EWTN, Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life, said this.
HAWKINS: “Mothers are taking these pills at home, in their dormitories, and when they are told when the cramping gets too severe to go on the toilet and to keep flushing and not to look — meaning chemically tainted placenta and blood, as well as the human remains of our child, are being flushed in our waterways. And when you think about the fact that you’re talking over 700,000 abortions a year are happening this way, this means, at a minimum, 50 tons of chemically-tainted blood and placenta are being flushed down our toilets with human remains every year, laced with anti-progesterone metabolites, which, shockingly, after they pass through the mother’s body, starve the child and kill the child, do not go inactive.
“They actually remain active as they pass through our water system. And is what we’ve tested across the country is that this water — it’s actually laced with these metabolites before they get to the wastewater treatment plant, after it passes through the wastewater treatment plant, and now we’ve proven it’s actually in the tap water.”

Voters want political candidates to address the economy
The U.S. midterm elections are coming up in November.
Pew Research surveyed voters on what issues they want candidates to address.
The top issue was the economy. Voters are especially concerned about affordability and the cost of living. Americans are evenly divided over which party they agree with on economic policies.
If the election were held today, 43 percent of respondents said they would back a Democrat candidate for Congress. Meanwhile, 37 percent said they would back a Republican.
Younger churchgoers want more liturgy in worship service
Lifeway Research released a survey on liturgy in worship services at Protestant churches.
Liturgies can include elements like set prayers, readings, and formal patterns. Forty-two percent of churchgoers say their church has some of the liturgical style. Twenty-seven percent say they have no liturgical style. And 24 percent say they have a very liturgical style.
Seventy-five percent of respondents said they are satisfied with the amount of liturgy at their church. Thirteen percent want more liturgy, while five percent want less.
Surprisingly, younger generations are more likely to want their church to include more liturgy.
California lifeguard saved 10-year-old boy
NBC Bay Area reports a lifeguard saved the life of a 10-year-old boy at a California beach this week.
Waves were overwhelming the boy at Seabright Beach in Santa Cruz. A 16-year-old lifeguard rushed into the water to save him. Other joined in as well.
The dramatic rescue drew the attention of President Donald Trump. He wrote on X, “We’re going to bring this heroic young man, and his family, into the White House with, perhaps, the boy he saved, to give him a High Civilian Honor. Very brave, he deserves it!”

U.S. condemns Nigerian Islamic massacre of Christian family
The U.S. government is condemning the Islamic massacre of a Nigerian pastor’s family in northern Nigeria that occurred earlier this month.
Nine family members of Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo were killed in the recent attack. Pastor Dachomo was known throughout the country for his assigning blame to the Nigerian government for escalating violence against Nigerian Christians.
According to TruthNigeria, which first reported the killings, dozens of others were killed by radical Islamist groups in northern Nigeria on July 11th.
President Trump himself had re-posted Pastor Dachomo’s recent video where he was crying out for international help, while he stood in a mass grave of dead Christians. Some now suspect the Nigerian government as complicit in the murder of Pastor Dachomo’s family as punishment for the video.
And now, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas has criticized the Nigerian government. On an X post, he wrote, “Nigerian officials have created an environment that facilitates mass violence against Christians and religious minorities by imposing blasphemy and Sharia laws and looking the other way at jihadist atrocities. The U.S. government knows the Nigerian officials responsible for these policies, I have been pushing my bill to sanction them.”
Let us remember this sober spiritual lesson from Psalm 9:17: “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
Are Europe’s worst fires connected to perversion and hostility to homeschoolers?
Meantime, Spain and France are suffering through the worst fires of the century as 300,000 people have been evacuated so far. That’s the largest evacuation since World War II, reports ABC News.
Specifically, 13,566 fires have swept across 448 square miles in France. And in Spain, 591 square miles have burned this year which is six times the amount that burned through the first half of 2025. It has resulted in the displacement of 250,000 French and 50,000 Spaniards.
Spain approved of faux-homosexual marriage in 2005. And France approved of sexually perverted marriages in 2013. Plus, homeschooling was also recently banned in France.

Sweden, Germany and Netherlands oppose homeschooling
The same has occurred in Sweden, Germany, and now the Netherlands. Two months ago, the Netherlands’ highest court ruled that parents can only claim the homeschool exemption if there is no suitable school nearby, virtually making it impossible to homeschool.
And now, England has also adopted a new restrictive homeschool law, signed by King Charles III in April.
According to the U.S.-based Homeschool Legal Defense Association, the new law “grants local authorities the power to prevent families from homeschooling if officials believe a proposed home education program is unsuitable.”

Nuclear power coming to the Islamic world
Nuclear power is coming to the Islamic world.
The United States has signed an agreement with the Islamic state of Saudi Arabia, providing a legal framework for U.S. companies to participate in Saudi Arabia’s civilian nuclear power program.
The Muslim countries of Pakistan and Iran have already built a nuclear program. The Muslim-dominated countries of Turkey and Egypt are also in the process of building a nuclear program.
Iran and South Korea began their nuclear program in the 1970s, Pakistan in the 1960s, and now, Turkey in 2018, and Egypt in 2022.
Nicaraguan communist president suspended elections
Nicaragua’s communist president, Daniel Ortega, has suspended his country’s elections indefinitely.
The Central American country continues to suffer under the iron grip of communism, and conservative outlet Human Events notes that, “Nicaragua’s last election in 2021 was widely disputed after Ortega’s government arrested opposition candidates, activists, and members of the business community ahead of the vote.”
Of the 43 nations in Latin America, Nicaragua has the second worst Gross Domestic Product per capita — right next to the other communist country — Cuba, and also, Haiti.
Forest fires in Northwest America
California, Washington, and Oregon are already lit up in forest fires this season. That’s well ahead of last year.
In California, there are 3,338 wildfires which have burned 195,000 acres. And in Oregon, 34 major blazes have burned 1.3 million acres, reports The Statesman-Journal.
Oregon has burned more acreage than last year and the season’s not over. Mostly the fires have been started by an act of God — that is, lightning strikes, reports FoxWeather.com.
America ready to deport hundreds of thousands of Haitians
The temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of Haitians in America is expected to end this week, according to CBS News.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, is preparing to launch operations to deport these immigrants, though there is still an option for immigrants to leave on their own.
The Department of Homeland Security explained, “What we would say now is it’s closing time which means you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here.”
Inflation plagues America
Inflation fears have saddled the U.S. economy.
Thirty-year U.S. bond yields are up to 5.2%. It’s been 20 years since the yields have been in that territory. Thirty-year mortgage rates hit 6.77% –the highest rate in about a year.
MoneyLion.com analyzed pay increases versus cost-of-living increases over the last five years across the U.S. and found 30 states are losing ground. This is impacting the middle class more than anybody else.
Folks in Massachusetts and New Jersey have lost 23% to inflation while Louisiana and Mississippi gained a little ground with a 10-11% bump.
Worldwide government debt increased by 6%
In other economic news, government debt for the developed nations of the world has popped up another 6% overall this year.
Fitch Ratings is forecasting a $4.2 trillion bump this year, of which the United States is at the forefront. Top debtor nations are the United States with a forecasted deficit of 7.8% of our Gross Domestic Product, which is the total market value of goods and services produced within America in a year.
The United States is followed by France at 5% of their Gross Domestic Product, Britain at 4.8% of their GDP, Germany at 3.7% of their GDP, and Japan at 3.1% of their Gross Domestic Product.
For the first nine months of this fiscal year, President Donald Trump’s spendy government exceeded the 9-month average of deficits for 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 — the four years for which President Joe Biden was responsible.
The U.S. deficit topped $1.4 trillion for the first nine months, and now is on track for a $2 trillion deficit this year. That compares to the Biden four-year average of $1.67 trillion. That’s a 20% increase on the deficit now, in this first year of the Trump administration’s fiscal action in his second term.

Shooter in Seattle killed three people
A mass shooter in Seattle, Washington, killed three people and wounded several more on Sunday, CNN reported.
A suspect has been taken into custody, two weapons have been recovered, and one report indicated that there was a firefight between more than one shooter.
In a statement the night of the shooting, Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson promised, “In the days ahead, we will establish what happened and be transparent with the public about what we have learned. Tonight, our attention belongs to the people whose lives were taken, those fighting to recover, and the families beside them.”
Genesis 6:11 reminds us, “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.”
Minnesota GOP candidate Mike Lindell gets backlash over amnesty plan
Mike Lindell, CEO of My Pillow and GOP gubernatorial candidate in the state of Minnesota, has come under backlash for his amnesty plan for illegal aliens.
Lindell suggested ending deportations in Minnesota for six months, and per the Dallas Express, “Lindell proposed giving illegal aliens six months to register with the government, submit fingerprints, undergo background checks, and receive a conditional work visa. Applicants would not receive citizenship or voting rights.”
However, under Lindell’s plan, these conditional visas would not expire, and the immigrants would “never have to leave.”
Immigration continues to be a major issue in conservative circles, and many have seen Lindell’s views as a betrayal.

Pakistani Supreme Court releases Muslim murderers of Christian couple
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the release of the final three men on death row in the 2014 murder case of a Christian couple, Shahzad Masih and his pregnant wife, Shama, reports International Christian Concern.
With this decision, along with the dismissal of a state appeal against the acquittal of 102 other suspects, no one remains convicted or in prison for the attack.
Here’s the back story.
On November 4, 2014, in a village in the Punjab Province, a violent mob attacked Shahzad and Shama after they were accused of desecrating pages of the Quran, Islam’s misguided book. The mob severely beat the couple before throwing them into a hot brick kiln, where they both died.
While five men were sentenced to death and nine others received short prison sentences, they all were released back into society.
Let’s pray the prayer of Amos 5:24. Lord, “let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”
Wildfires in France and Spain have displaced 250,000 people
France sent a hulking military cargo plane to dump tons of flame retardants as it battled raging wildfires on Saturday and slashed the final stage of the bicycle race, Tour de France, to redeploy security personnel to the blazes that forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes, reports the Associated Press.
The giant A400M transporter swooped in low, its long plume of ochre-colored retardant trailing over drought-hit woodlands on the ground that fought flames that authorities feared could spread toward the wine region city of Bordeaux in southwest France, 310 miles away from Paris.
Wildfires in southern Europe last week have now displaced more than 250,000 people.
Former Maine lawmaker replaces Graham Platner on Democratic ticket
On Saturday, former state lawmaker and logger Troy Jackson secured the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Maine and will face longtime GOP Senator Susan Collins in November in a race that could decide which party controls the Senate, reports The Associated Press.
Jackson replaces Graham Platner, who won the Democratic primary in June, but withdrew from the race earlier this month following an allegation of sexual assault that Platner has denied.
Maine Democrats met Saturday to choose a new Senate nominee to face Collins.
Trump’s CDC nominee commits to abortion data reporting
Former Deputy Surgeon General Dr. Erica Schwartz, President Donald Trump’s nominee to head the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, testified last week that it is “absolutely critical” for the CDC to gather reliable abortion data upon which policymakers and health analysts can make decisions, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
Nominated in April, Schwartz is currently appearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee for her confirmation hearings.
Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri raised the matter of abortion data collection and analysis which the CDC had paused in November without explanation.
HAWLEY: “The CDC collects data on abortions that are committed in the United States of America through a system called the ‘Abortion Reporting System.’ This system is voluntary, and so a number of states, not coincidentally large blue states, do not turn over any data so that it’s difficult to get a picture of just how many abortions, and under what circumstances, are committed in this country. We do know the numbers are going up, way up. Since the Dobbs decision — well over a million abortions last year.
“Would you commit to collect the data on the number and circumstances of abortions, as is provided for in this system, and to work with those states that are currently holding out and not giving it to actually get the data so that we can know we can get a picture of what really is going on here? Will you do that?
SCHWARTZ: “Senator, you have my commitment. Abortion surveillance is absolutely a critical component of what the CDC is currently doing. I will look into that.”
HAWLEY: “Thank you.”
SCHWARTZ: “But I also want to make sure that certain states are not conflating emergency services and hiding abortions in that emergency services case definition. We need to make sure we’re pulling out true abortions and making sure that we’re really having clear case definitions regarding abortions, so the data is actually accurate.”
HAWLEY: “Fantastic!”
Christian WNBA star attacked for opposing men in women’s sports
Sophie Cunningham, an eight-season WNBA veteran, got re-baptized earlier this year to reaffirm her Christian faith as an adult, reports The Christian Post.
Appearing on “The Travis Hearn” podcast, she was asked about her faith.
HEARN: “What’s it like being a believer in Jesus Christ, a follower of Jesus, a woman of God, in the WNBA?”
CUNNINGHAM: “For me, to be a believer in the W[NBA] … I think there’s a lot more believers than you would actually, because a lot of people don’t speak out about it. I am loud, I am confident, and I think being actually a woman of God, it’s allowed me to walk into rooms with my shoulders back. I have a different type of swag and confidence about me because I know God has me.”
Cunningham made headlines in 2022 when she approvingly retweeted an X post by CBS host Josh Prate opposing trans-identified male swimmer Will Thomas, who pretends to be a woman named “Lia,” being allowed on the women’s team.
As a result, the Left spewed hateful remarks about her on social media. Indeed, 2 Timothy 3:12 says, “All those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”
During an interview with ESPN last week, Cunningham asserted that she does not hate transgender-identifying people, but believes in standing up for young girls in their private spaces.
CUNNINGHAM: “I think it’s really important to protect children, and that’s little girls who are also involved in that category. And so, I do have beliefs. I have morals, and I’ll always stand on those and be true to who I am. And when it comes just to protecting young girls in sport and women in sport, I feel very strongly about that.”
On July 23rd, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt expressed the Trump administration’s solidarity with Sophie Cunningham.
LEAVITT: “This is something the President feels strongly about as well, and the American people do too. Men should not be playing in women’s sports. It’s completely ludicrous that anyone could support that.
“It’s even more ludicrous that you do have Sophia Cunningham, a female athlete herself, very accomplished in her own right, coming forth and speaking that truth that men shouldn’t play in women’s sports. We want to protect women and girls.
“The backlash she is receiving from Democrats is astonishing. They are clearly very out of touch with the American public on this issue, which is an 80/20 issue. It’s common sense. It’s rooted in basic biological fact that men should not be competing against women on playing fields across the country.”
And ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith affirmed Cunningham’s insistence that men, pretending to be women, should not compete against biological women.
SMITH: “I can’t applaud her enough. This notion that you’re hating on the ‘trans community’ because you are not a proponent of them participating in female sports is utterly ridiculous. Sophie Cunningham said every word right on the money. There’s no hate involved. There’s only love we’re talking about.
“But what happened to loving girls who are born biologically as girls. What about their rights? What about fairness associated to them?
Smith cited the story of Will Thomas, the male swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, who is now pretending to be female as a good case in point revealing how demonstrably unfair it was to let him compete against biological women like Riley Gaines.
SMITH: “’Lia Thomas.’ I’m gonna keep bringing that name up: 400+ in the world competing as a male, transitions to female and he was number one. If we’re gonna act like transitioning from male to female doesn’t involve an advantage for that trans athlete, I have nothing to say to you. You’re not exercising common sense.”
Pastor Robert Jeffress’ ministry surpasses 1 million YouTube subscribers
Pastor Robert Jeffress‘ Pathway to Victory YouTube channel has surpassed 1 million subscribers, reports the Christian Post.
Jeffress, who leads the 16,000-strong congregation at First Baptist Dallas, said the YouTube channel’s launch was “an amazing opportunity to share the Gospel through our Bible-teaching ministry. We’re grateful for the response.”
Amazingly, the church only launched the channel in 2024.
Pathway to Victory was launched in 1996 and serves as the broadcast ministry for First Baptist Dallas and airs on 900 radio stations across the United States.
Pastor Jeffress said, “Our mission has always been to pierce the darkness with the light of God’s Word, and this [1 million subscriber milestone] is a testament to the power of the Gospel to transform lives.”
