In Pastor Jason's latest sermon, we delved into Joshua chapter 3, focusing on the power of faith and trust in God during uncertain times. We explored the inspiring story of William Carey, known as the father of modern missions, to illustrate the theme of expecting and attempting great things for God. Pastor Jason emphasized that, like the Israelites facing the Jordan River, we too must step out in faith, trusting in God's presence to guide us through our own obstacles. The sermon's core message was clear: trust in God's presence, take one more step by faith, and tell the story of His greatness and provision in our lives.

Pastor Jason shared a powerful story this week about the amazing grace of God and how it reaches the most unlikely people. Starting with the story of David Wilkerson and his mission to reach gang members in New York City, Jason reminded us that God uses our obedience to touch lives in unexpected ways, just like Rahab in Joshua 2. Rahab's faith and courage in hiding the Israelite spies shows that no one is too far for God's love, no matter their past. This message calls us to be intentional in sharing God's love and grace with everyone around us, trusting that one more person can find salvation and new life. Let's remember, nobody is beyond redemption and God's grace can transform even the unlikeliest of lives.

In this week's sermon, Pastor Jason talks about the journey from the book of Exodus into Joshua. He highlights how Joshua, once a young servant lingering in God's presence, steps up as a leader entrusted with leading the Israelites into the promised land. Pastor Jason emphasizes the importance of courage and trust in God's promises, especially when facing challenges greater than ourselves. He draws a parallel with our own lives, encouraging us to find strength in God's presence, and to be encouraged by His word as we walk forward in faith. He reminds us that although people may come and go, God's mission continues through those willing to step up and serve.

As followers of Christ, we're encouraged to stand firm in His word, serve one another, and embark on the mission God lays before us, knowing He is always with us. "As God was with Joshua," Pastor Jason assures us, "He will also be with us wherever we go."
