On this episode of the podcast we talk to Louise Bale, The president of the Australian Dysphonia Network.

We had a great time on this podcast talking bout what Dysphonia is and why the network was created and the people involved with it also.

This was a personal story as my mother is affected by Myasthenia Gravis and has had surgery due to this to add implants to help and there are some autoimmune diseases which can lie dormant for years before they manifest themselves, and their onset cannot be predicted. Such diseases are referred to as ‘sleeping syndromes’ and may be awakened by some key factors, such as acute infection.

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is one such disease. MG is a chronic autoimmune disorder which affects neuromuscular transmission, resulting in muscle weakness. It presents several challenges for patients and clinicians...

It is something I have watched my Mother go through and deal with for a long time and it is just apart of her life now and she manages bloody well i'll say that!
