This weeks hot topic is closing studios. We absolutely hate when we see incredible studios close their door and I’m sure there’s a ton of gaming studios that you had no idea had shut their doors for good. We even have a few members of the cast that had their hands in the video game development process. Hear just what goes on behind doors and why some of these studios had no choice but to shut down for good.

As always, we have some of the biggest gaming news in this weeks show. We not only discuss the latest news about the announcement of Black Ops 2 but some of the controversy behind closed doors. You without doubt have heard of the online hacking group known as Anonymous. During a trailer of Black Ops 2, a logo used for the hacking group appeared within the trailer and claimed the group as terrorists. This didn’t settle well with Anonymous and has already launched attacks on Activision.
We then head over to news of the upcoming launch of Diablo III. The entire cast is giddy, well maybe just Ian and Zack, on how close the game is to the actual launch date. Find out what the cast thinks about with the overall design, features and gameplay of the infamous Diablo III!
Lastly, we head into our hot topic. We couldn’t just have Zack Finfrock on without having him give us some latest details on his upcoming season 2 of Fallout Nuka Break. With a recent success on the Kickstarter, Nuka Break 2 has made over $67,000 surpassing their goal of only $60,000! However, there is still time left to pledge money. Zack lets us know what the money will be used for and where the general direction season 2 will lead off to. Everything from the history to the series, plans for the upcoming season and even the announcement that Twig (Zack Finfrock), Scarlett (Tybee Diskin) and Ben (Aaron D. Giles) will make their return!

We’re down a few cast members in this weeks episode but that’s not to say episode 30 doesn’t pack a mean punch. This week we’re joined by Andrew Kent, one of our daily news writers, along with Jacob Saylor and Dennis Patrick.
We start off with a bitter piece of news that doesn’t settle very well with the crew as we discuss Adam Sessler leaving G4. Everyone agrees that Adam Sessler is without a doubt, the godfather in video game journalism. We’re sad to see him leave after most of us watched him through out the years from TechTv to what is now G4. Spinning off from G4 is a discussion on how YouTube user Morphinapg’s creation of the Uncharted trilogy movies. Using cut-scenes and pieces of gameplay, the creator made feature length movies from all three games.
Our hot topic this week is on the subject of used games. As most of us can at times be more obsequious to the purchase of used games, there is a fine line to where video game publishers stand. Not only have we seen acts against used game retailers such as Gamestop but there has been rumors of that these next generation consoles will not have the ability to play used games.

The Best Gaming Podcast Ever lives on! This week’s episode sees Ian, Jacob, Dennis, Josh, and special guest Jen Shaffer dust off the podcasting chairs and pick up right where we left off. We start by calling Sony out as they cut 10,000 jobs! Ian notes that Sony is not just a company strictly dealing with games. Unrelated to the job cuts, Sony is also teasing a new title, which they will be revealing on April 19, 2012. Our BGPE cast believes they know exactly what that is!
After veering off into a scuffle over animal related video games, we jump into our hot topic: EA has been backing a petition that involves LGBT rights within their recent released video games. However, we get a funny feeling that after EA has become one of the most hated video game development companies—earning the award for worst company in America—the company is now just striving to get positive feedback. We would love to hear what you guys think in the comments below.
Giveaways are back! This week we have two copies of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack! This is for the PS Vita and for US viewers only.

We cover a ton this week, everything from Wasteland’s 2 Kickstarter, Mass Effect 3 and chodes. Yes, you read correctly. We’ll keep you wondering for just a bit while we jump into news of Wasteland’s 2 Kickstarter. We made mention of the Kickstarter before but we’re thrilled to see Wasteland’s 2 team exceeded their goal of $900,000.00! What’s more impressive is that developing team plans on giving back 5% of their profits to other game titles on the Kickstarter website.
I’m sure viewers are trying to wrap their mind over the chode reference. Yes, viewers within the cast we discover a possible chode, we’re not very happy over the subject, we’re thrilled and we would like to shed some light on the manner. Before you dive into this chode filled debauchery of a podcast, I want you, the viewers, to leave your guess on who you think our culprit is! Ian Miles Cheong, Jacob “The Skulldrey” Saylor, Dennis Patrick, Josh Harmon, or our guest this week Molly Carroll.

In this episode, we have a familiar voice jumping into the host seat, our own Ian Miles Cheong has stepped up to take the reigns for BGPE episode 27. Joining us this week is Josh Harmon, Annie Dennisdottir Wright, Dennis Patrick, and John Mix Meyer from Wired.com. Jumping into news we start off with the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter. What we all find interesting is how several developers are supporting the make of this game but at the same time there are no sight of any publishers. Following the Kickstarter news is the announcement of Dishonored a game we all try to grasp on how this stealth game relates to other titles on the market today.
This week we also include a bonus clip. Gameranx’s editors, Ian Miles Cheong and Annie Dennisdottir Wright fires off some questions at John Mix Meyer. Digging deep, we learn Mr. Meyer’s particular writing style and an insight on what its like working at Wired.com!

We start right off the bat in episode 26 with news of Assassin’s Creed 3. We’re all thrilled to play during the American Revolution with new weapons and a setting that suites both battlefields and cities. Josh on the other hand hopes to snatch up some weapon inventions from good ol’ Benjamin Franklin.
We discuss the recently announced release date for Bioshock Infinite, October 16, 2012. Dennis drops the bombshell that he never played a Bioshock game but Infinite may just change that. Ian and Josh takes over for the Hot Topic as they both talk about their own experiences with Sony’s new PlayStation Vita.
As promised in the show, here is the Sim City V we referred to in the cast.
Our giveaway this week is sponsored by Skinit.com, one lucky winner will choose a custom skin for either a gaming console or a controller of their choosing.

Kicking off with a rather odd piece of news, EA decides to launch their next title Mass Effect 3 into space, yeah we’re serious. While the copies are being sent all around the world using weather balloons, each game will be equipped with a GPS tracking code for you to find, happy hunting! Our cast even jumps on Double Fine’s kickstarter. Asking to pledge a goal of $400,000 in order to make an adventure game that fans would have complete creative control of. Instead the company has reached over $1,929,705 with 57,116 backers in only a matter of days. Josh even pledged that if this game flops, he will eat his pants live on-air!
Our hot topic continues with Double Fine and crowd sourcing. After Double Fines outstanding successes, more developers have jumped on the bandwagon. While this will help fans obtain more control on the outlook of a game, we come to the conclusion that crowd sourcing is possibly just a trend. Hoping that we’re wrong, we would love to hear your thoughts on it by using the comments down below!
This week we’re partnering up with Openbucks once again. We have a few Cirlce K gift cards that viewers can practically use on anything. All you need to do is leave a comment down below, give us some feedback or even ideas you would like us to cover during an upcoming episode.
