Have you ever felt like God turned His face away from you? King David felt that way. And in his study through this Psalm, Pastor Mat shows how the Lord lightened David's eyes to move him from hopelessness to trust and praise.

This psalm of David was written at a time when Israel was in disarray, and deals with enduring treachery. It contrasts the godly man with the prideful man; the words of God and the wickedness of men. And it promises God's help for those in His will, no matter what trouble they face.

Pastor Mat begins looking at Jesus' resurrection, which happened on the first day of the week. What impact did finding the tomb empty have upon Mary, Peter and John? What happened when Mary encountered the risen Christ? How did all this change their understanding of Who Jesus is? How does it change ours?

Pastor Mat looks at true wisdom and the Apostle Paul's reliance upon the Holy Spirit.

Why do the wicked seem to prosper and the righteous have such trouble? The Psalmist reminds us that the ungodly won't stand in the day of judgment, and therefore we should pity them, not envy them. Pastor Mat reminds us that sometimes we simply need to give God time to work.

In this study in First Corinthians Chapter One, Pastor Mat talks about the danger of the world infecting the Church instead of the Church affecting the world for Jesus Christ.

As we continue in John's Gospel, Pastor Mat points out that Scripture reveals one act that clearly shows what God is all about. If we want to understand His holiness, His justice, His mercy, His love...we just have to look at this one act.
