Pastor Mat takes us through the account of Daniel in the lion's den. The enemies of God tried to find a way to have the king execute Daniel, but even as they were plotting his doom, the Lord was orchestrating theirs. The Lord looks after us, as well. And we learn that if Daniel could live for God in Babylon, we can live lives that glorify Jesus even in our ungodly world.
Here in Romans 8, the Apostle Paul addresses three groups: the unsaved person, the saved but carnal person, and the spirit-filled person. How do we know if we are a believer walking after the flesh or the Spirit? Pastor Mat reminds us that as Christians we have not only been delivered from the penalty of sin, but also the power of sin. How should this affect us in our daily walk?
The service begins with a short testimony and teaching from a man whom Pastor Mat credits with playing a pivotal role in his own start in the ministry.
Then Pastor Mat gives his view of a very controversial portion of Revelation 11, dealing with the Two Witnesses. Is Scripture talking about two literal prophets? Or is it possible that the olive trees and candlesticks are millions of people in two biblical groups of believers?
Do we really know Jesus? That's the eternal question. It's not whether we practice a religion; it's do we have a personal relationship with Jesus. In this message, Pastor Mat explains that all the Old Testament sacrifices point to Jesus, the Lamb of God. Only His sacrifice is able to take away our sin. And in doing so, He made a way for us back into God's presence to make possible that personal relationship that He wants us to have with Him.
If God is all-knowing, why do we need to pray? That question begins this powerful study by Pastor Igor. From Luke and also the account of the Children of Israel in the Wilderness, we learn why God wants us to turn to Him every day in prayer.
In this timely message, Markus points out that our joy and peace need not be contingent upon the circumstances of this temporary life.
