This Sunday we celebrate Independence Day, and we are so grateful for the freedoms God has granted us here in the United States! It is right and good to give thanks for what He given. So how does God bless America? What does this phrase mean to us as The Church, as we examine this phrase through a Scriptural lens?

The Bible makes clear that sin is a devastating disease and can cause irreparable harm. We see sin confronted in such a way that may seem drastic to us throughout Scripture. There are also times when God confronts sin in our own lives in a drastic way. These moments can change the trajectory of our lives—for better or for worse. When you and I are confronted with sin, how will we respond?

We want to be people who lead well...in such a way that honors God and points others to Him. It is an extremely high calling. What do we need to focus on to do that, and how do we know we are doing that well?

Most people in this life want to know they are making a difference. That their existence in this life mattered. The truth is God has a calling for each of us to step into to fulfill His purposes. Will you choose to be His person to accomplish His will? Or will you live for your own desires?

There are times when God wants to reform His church. His temple is rebuilt, so what's next? Learn how God not only raises up Ezra to be God's chosen man to bring reformation to His people, but how all of God's people have an opportunity to learn from and emulate Ezra, especially as we seek to become disciples of Christ.

Can we trust that God will finish what He started? We've read His word and know about His promises. We've prayed and sought after Him, but sometimes the situations we find ourselves in don't indicate that God is doing any kind of work. Do you trust Him? Do you remember the ways He's delivered in the past? Let's open God's word together this Sunday at 9 and 11, with our Livestream starting at 9.

To say we as Christians follow and worship the one true God in a world increasingly convinced that all beliefs are valid is often seen as naive, ridiculous, and even hateful. Those accusations are sometimes enough to throw us off the path of obedience to Christ to follow our own selfish pursuits or seek to please mankind instead. This Sunday, see how God gives us the courage to honor and worship the Lord as He is, the one true God.

God's design for women and men is to work together, complementing each other's perspectives and traits, to fill in where the other lacks. This Sunday, we'll see that incredible design in action, where one woman's wisdom and perspective led to a victory that not only preserved David's kingship, but also prevented the destruction and massive loss of life in an important city. God has given women a unique ability to offer wisdom and insight, and we will celebrate this on Sunday!

When we see the commands of God from His word, or sense His leading by His Holy Spirit, it sometimes seems like He may be asking the impossible. As believers in Christ's finished work on the cross, we can take full confidence that God will accomplish His will (impossible as it may seem) and joyfully worship Him based on that truth!
