Being a sinner and a sufferer during a global pandemic is a wearying, bewildering experience. Being God in a human body during the Roman occupation of Israel was deadly. John 13:1 says, “Having loved His own who were in the world, Jesus loved them to the end.” Through the beatings and scourging to His brutal execution, “for the joy set before Him Jesus endured the cross” (Hebrews 12:2). This weekend Ron will talk about the joy we can know now and experience forever in the heart of Christ.
