“As a single person, you attract who you are not who you want.”

Title: A King Cant Do That

Big Ideas:

“It is not just faith, or believing, it’s the proof we have and what people actually saw.”

“Our internal sin is often what causes our external situation.”


Proof:

-5,844 Greek New Testament manuscripts have been found. If we could stack each page on top of one another it would be over a mile high.

-Over 500 people saw the risen Christ.

-Logically people would not be willing to die for a lie. The disciples were willing to die for what they had actually seen.

2. When have you found yourself wanting God to be a “situation changing” God?

3. Do you pray more for your circumstances to be changed or for you to be changed as a person internally?

“Everyone desires to be independent. Independent = we need nothing.”

“We dread seasons of dependence = we don’t have what we need.”

Dependence brings two things:

Humility (we realize we need God)
Surrender (we are willing to obey)

1. Why does God allow us to be in seasons of dependence?

2. Pastor Scott mentioned that we are drawn to people when we need something from them, but how has that been true in your relationship with God?

3. How did you come to church/to God?

4. How has God leveraged a season of need in your life?
