We continue our journey of recovering the sacred nature of joy. We are building on the two realities, that Abba is Happy and He lives in the Zion-Realm, which is a joy-filled, impenetrable citadel where you and I can rest safe and secure in His care and compassion.

The promise we are posturing our hearts to receive today is learning what Isaiah 56:1-8 meant when He said Yahweh would invite us into Mount Zion and make us joyful in His house of prayer. Pastor Mark takes us into both the personal and corporate understanding of this verse.

We are on a journey of stewarding a word our Apostle, Damon Thompson, gave to us in the beginning of this year about "recovering the sacred nature of joy." We begin with our understanding of finding "joy" in the nature of Abba. He values celebration and takes delight in bringing us joy.

This week we dive into several passages of scripture to begin our exploration of where Yahweh dwells. The Bible calls the dimension of Abba's divine abode the Zion realm. As we dive into the scripture, it becomes plain to see that by way of the Finished work we are brought into the Zion realm to explore His joy-filled home where we can rest safe and secure in His care and compassion.

What we are seeing in our country today is civil war level tension with two party politics backed by their media groups that keep us divided. We are to build according to the blueprint of Jesus and that blueprint should give us the grace to transform and unite us relationally. We need the Ekklesia to rise up with a mirror to today's political powers and say this is what you are doing and then model for them the culture of heaven on earth.

Many today are like the Old Testament priests still ritually offering the same sacrifices of religion that can never take away sin’s guilt. Many are Old Testament saints trying to live in a New Testament world. We live in the shadows instead of walking in the Light. Yet we are not offering animal sacrifices, worse we keep beating the dead horse of our sin nature as if we have the ability to achieve God’s forgiveness through our religious ritual practice of dying daily.

Pastor Mark Casto is calling us into this GRACE AWAKENING! No more striving...no more beating a dead horse...you are set apart unto God and welcomed into His most holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm.

How far we go into this grace awakening can only be determined by our ability to get untethered from the old order of the religious system. That old order says you are totally deprived, broken, and susceptible to temptation and demonic attack. It hands a list of rules, keeps records of your past and keeps you running on the treadmill of performance.

But the call of this grace awakening is to fill our thoughts with heavenly realities and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Distractions are much bigger than entertainment and social media, many are distracted by introspection of a sin nature that Christ died to remove.
