Power, whether as a family member, politician, civic leader, or church leader, can become idolized. The humble heart of a servant leader is the antidote to worshipping the idol of power.

It's easy for money or the desire of working hard and success to become an idol. If Jesus asked you to give all your money away and follow him, would you be able to do that?

God commands us to worship Him alone. Idols and idolatry are a big part of the story of Israel. But idolatry isn't limited to just Biblical times. We can still easily fall into the trap of serving and worshipping an idol, often times without even realizing it. What or who do you worship?
