One of the best parts about this show is when I can meet someone for the first time during the episode. When I brought in Benny Ortiz, it felt as if we had already been friends for years. Benny's knowledge on fishing, specifically slow pitch jigging; is incredible. We break down all the intricacies of this new art and discuss different fish processing techniques. Bring out your notebook and be ready to pause this one....a lot of good information coming your way on Episode 120! @mrbennyortiz

Every good podcast has to begin with a glass of Papa's Pilar Rum...Add this to Tom and Trista's handmade mango daiquiris and you're in for a treat. As the owners of Hooker Electric, we discuss much more than reels. Tom was one of the first planes to make it over to the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian and shares his experiences hours after the storm passed through. This duo continues to help out and be absolute stewards of the industry and has a fun time doing so. Safe to say this conversation lasted longer than the episode and carried over to our very own Connected By Water Studio Bar. Enjoy! | @HookerElectric

I always love when my good friend George Poveromo stops by to share a glass or two of Papa’s Pilar Rum. We always have the greatest talks. This time around I was proud to crown him as the ‘Most Italian Guest’ we’ve ever had on the show. We were also both very happy to welcome back Karlene after taking time off for the birth of her daughter. Thoughts were shared on what more can be done by supporting the South Florida CCA chapters, among many other things. We also got a chance to take phone calls from Mike Myatt and Bouncer Smith which opened up the show to a ton of great stories. Papa would definitely be proud of this episode. | @georgepoveromo

Legends never stop. That certainly seems to be the M.O. for the celebrated and “retired” Captain Bouncer Smith. I called him quasi-retired and he laughed. I think because he knows, as with any truly great artist, doing what he does on his level isn’t just what you do for work… deep down it’s who you are. Lately he’s been fishing in ways he never has before and also just got finished writing his fourth book, “I’m Not Done Yet.” I had the honor and pleasure to sit back and have a very pleasurable conversation, over a glass of Papa’s Pilar, with one of the nicest guys I’ve ever had to chance to speak with. Insightful, impactful and downright fun. We got Connected. Join us. | @captbouncer

We were all set up with our trailer, aka “The Minnow” for the 2022 Pompano Beach Seafood Festival and got to quickly catch up with many of the people that put it all together. | @pompanobeachseafoodfest @edbllife @bigdogtackle

It’s about time we did an episode that features more from those below the surface than above. Who better to bring in to drink some Papa's Pilar rum than the Chiefy crew? Jim “Chiefy” Mathie, Julie Higgs and Stevel Siegel are experts at all things scuba and freediving and had some pretty great insight to share about being Connected By Water. Join us for an episode that will enlighten your Spear-it and touch the depths of your heart. | @chiefycrew @julie_higgs_spearfishing @stevesiegelrelentless

Download the EDBL Life App today! There’s plenty to be said for living that EDBL life. In fact, its very much in line with our theory on being Connected By Water. Troy Ganter and I have always shared like-minded philosophies on everything from being of service to others, making a positive impact on your local community and not allowing your ego to get in the way of what life has in store for you. His partner Matt Smith joined us to discuss how all of this falls into the plan for Eat, Drink and Be Local and why it’s important to follow through with ‘Good Vibes’ in everything you do.| @belocalonthego

Connected By Water’s first ever appearance at the 2022 Palm Beach Boat Show. Actually, it was the first time we have ever done a boat show and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything went. We caught up with plenty of good friends and met some new ones along the way. On this episode we chat with longtime friend and host of TV’s Unfathomed, Capt. George Gozdz, Trista Evans from Hooker Electric, Alan Blanco from Center Consoles Only and Brian Kane from GOST. | @unfathomedtv @gost_global @hookerelectricreels @centerconsolesonly

Chaos Fishing business owner, Marshall Gordon and Manager Bryan Brennan have a very unique and intelligent way of navigating our coastal community. You've all heard the term 'thinking outside the box'... well, this is thinking outside the tackle box for sure. This one is all things fishing business and how giving back the community can be a promising symbiotic relationship for everybody. | @chaosfishing
