  "It's a crime gangster drama based on true events of Frank Costello, his rise and tenure as the boss of Bosses for the country, really. And how the organized crime syndicate grew from the prohibition days on into the late 50s, where the movie comes to a crescendo towards the end. Now, this movie reminds me a lot of Goodfellas. It reminds me a lot of Donnie Brasco. It reminds me of those Mafia gangster movies that were also historical biographies."

But I don't want to say it's insulting, but it does just feel like a slap in the face every time we get one of these movies. Because for 20 years, we've been getting these movies and we still have to be told these things, therefore nothing's changing. While at the same time, is it really that bad?"

I wish they would have leaned more into it more deliberately because I think it's really important how much time and energy they spent on that particular theme in the first 30 to 40 minutes of the movie. And then they kind of again, let the rest of the movie imply that they're still talking about that theme. Aside from that, though, it's very funny."

  "And I thought to myself, why does this feel like Ocean's Eleven? It just gave me that feeling. And of course, once we got to the end of the movie and the credits rolled and it said, directed by Steven Soderbergh, then it clicked. I didn't know that going into the movie, but he definitely got his imprint on this film."

  "So they kind of play with that and gave texture to these block like shapes to stay true to what Minecraft looks like, but also try to give it, you know, 20% realism for our eyes. I'm not so much worried about the animation style. It looks fun. Now, I've been playing Minecraft for about five years, so it stands to reason someone who's put in that much time and energy would be enthused by a movie that's coming out about this game."

  "It warns of the ignorance of going to a place and taking for granted the resources and the inhabitants that are already there, while also telling a love story between some of the main characters, while also being such satire that it jumps the shark a couple of times. I don't know if any of that contributed to my headache or made it worse. The story is one we've seen and heard many, many times throughout film history, throughout literature."
