  "At best, I agree with either the critic score or the audience score, and the other half the time it's confusing as to where those scores came from. I will say this about this movie, though. If you've seen Eagle Eye, that movie with Shia LaBeouf, you'll probably wince, maybe at the premise of this movie. However, I'd like to say this get on board once."

  "It didn't have the emotion. They tried. They attempted, and you could see them trying and you could hear it in the dialogue that they were trying, but it didn't hit. It didn't land for me, personally, what also didn't land was the end of this movie. I liked the idea that they had for the ending, but it was executed poorly. They could have done something different and punched it up just a little bit."

  "And when it came out, I was in high school, I didn't even know I could be blown away by a movie, and I was. The writing in that movie was awesome. The action, the overall message of the movie. And of course, it wasn't historically accurate. We all know Maximus wasn't a real person. We all know that Comedist was a very different person than how he was portrayed on film, which was fine. Joaquin Phoenix did a great job."

  "And I've spoken several times about my favorite Marvel comic book character, which is Spiderman. But full disclosure, my favorite comic book character is a DC character. It's actually Green Lantern. John Stewart, to be specific. Honestly, I didn't know how Jordan was the first Green Lantern until Ryan Reynolds movie came out, which I enjoyed, by the way. But as it pertains to Marvel and DC, I like both properties, not one more than the other."

  "I can't believe that they were able to pack everything that they did into this movie and still make it feel as though it was one story. However, you could tell that it was wrapping up and that there was a part two coming, but it was a satisfying wrap up, if that makes any sense. I could feel the credits on their way and simultaneously the anticipation of getting another two and a half hours of this, because I can't wait. Again, I'm almost speechless."
