"Maybe if I'd have been more physical, physically graced, I would have done harder work and my body would be more broken. I worked in retail in big box home centers, so I walked across concrete rapidly hundreds of times a day sometimes. And so that's probably where I get my strength, my legs."

"But yeah, it's just been a really, really rough, rough, you know, just darn near a month. Just, just been really hard. My birthday is coming up on March 11th. I believe that's the ides of March. And this birthday, I will be 75 years old. Three quarters of a century. Oh, on one hand I'm, I'm. I've."

"I joined the army when I was 30 simply to provide food for my family. And I've always been very, very interested in politics. And I'm so disappointed when I look at my life and I'm wondering, you know, I spent so much of my energy trying to create change, and it really failed miserably. I've been on scores of protest marches in many different places. I've marched for peace. I've marched for gay rights. I've marched for women's rights."

"Hi, everyone. Just a quick, quick note about the season that we're in. It is the holiday, the holiday season for most Americans in one shape or another. Even I think the atheists at this time of the year, you know, get caught up in the magic of Christmas and the lights and the trees and all of that. I was driving in my neighborhood going home from my job as a crossing guard and I noticed this sign."

"I also was, I think, probably the only person in the group that didn't have a significant college education and degrees and did not have any of that. And so, truthfully, I was always acutely aware of that. But that's not to disparage Unitarian Universalism. It's just to kind of tell you where my mindset was. My time there as a practicing Unitarian Universalist was spiritually one of the best times of my life."

"Out of the town plazas because of restaurants feeling that they cut into their. Into their business. But that chili takes pork and tomato and again, about five different kinds of dried chili pods, Mexican oregano, and cumin and sausage. So it's got two kinds of meat, and I believe it is as fine a bowl of chili as you can get as far as beans. Sometimes I put them in and sometimes I don't. I lean toward. I don't more often than putting them in."

"It means the making holy the ordinary things of life, affection and friendship, eating and drinking and merry making. And for me, Christmas has always been about being able to blend that story with the pagan joy of the yuletide season. When I first began my walk on the pagan path, the crooked path, I wanted to tie all my belief in Yule into just one day. I wanted pagan Christmas, Yule and the solstice to be all one and the same. Well, I was not very successful."

"Without the idea of winter, half the charm of the Christmas carol spirit would be gone and most of its mystical spirit. Because this story transplanted in the imagination of early Christendom from an undefined season in the hot Middle east to a very different Europe at mid winter. And because of that, the nativity story has taken on a whole new magic with the thought of the bitter cold and the birth of a baby born in a stable."

"And I'm not sure whether my listeners, my swell listeners, want to hear necessarily the sounds of Christmas yet or not. But irregardless or regardless, it's impossible to escape at this time of the year. I was in stores and they were playing Christmas music already. As a pagan, I follow the turning of the wheel of the year. I find it easy to celebrate Christmas and I do celebrate Christmas."
