  • MOTM Vol 43 ZOMBIES Apr 16 2014
ZOMBIES! The Walking Dead! Army Of Darkness! Shaun Of The Dead! The “ZombieSquad” joins “Matters Of The Mind” this Wed at 8p ET!
There have been movies about zombies for decades, but in recent years the appreciation for the ‘undead’ has reached mass saturation, leading to the incredible success of TV shows like “The Walking Dead” and movies such as “Army Of Darkness”, “Shaun Of The Dead” and perhaps the originator of the modern genre, “Night Of The Living Dead”. We examine this phenomenon on this week’s “Matters Of The Mind” with Dr. Peter Sacco, and have as our guest Aleks Rakocevic, President of the Southern Ontario chapter of Zombie Squad, a company whose mission is to educate the public about the importance of personal preparedness and self reliance, and to increase its readiness to respond to a number of disasters such as Earthquakes, Floods or Zombie Outbreaks.
Our mission is to protect civilization from the infringement of the walking dead upon the rights of the living to a peaceful existence. Zombie Squad does this through the implementation of a three step plan of action.
    Find the Problem
Through a combination of paid informants, tips from the public and our unique undead tracking techniques, Zombie Squad is constantly alert to incidents of revivification.
    Get to the Problem
Any mobile strike force is dependent on a strong logistics and transportation arm in order to carry out it’s orders, and Zombie Squad is no different.
    Eliminate the Problem
Information and logistics are an important part of the organization’s structure, but at its core, Zombie Squad is an elite strike force dedicated to the eradication of the undead in all theaters of combat.
So watch the graveyards and mortuaries. Watch your friends and relatives. Be aware that the undead can be anywhere. Be ready for their attack.
If you should encounter the undead menace, then don’t hesitate to call Zombie Squad. Find out for yourself why Zombie Squad is the world’s premier non-stationary cadaver suppression task force, and you can hear ALL about them on this week’s “Matters Of The Mind” with Dr. Peter Sacco, at 8p ET on Wednesday, but if you miss it, it will be on demand Thursday, right here! • MOTM Vol 44 MASLOW'S HIERARCHY Apr 30 2014
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a theory in psychology proposed by Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper “A Theory of Human Motivation” in Psychological Review.
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is often portrayed in the shape of a pyramid with the largest, most fundamental levels of needs at the bottom and the need for self-actualization at the top.
While the pyramid has become the de facto way to represent the hierarchy, Maslow himself never used a pyramid to describe these levels in any of his writings on the subject.
Money is incredibly important to both satisfying and influencing many of the needs in Maslow’s theory, so we called in an expert!
kevinmurdockKevin Murdock is a very successful financial planner who is now Division Director for the Investors Group in Toronto Canada. Not only is Kevin very familiar with the theory, he indirectly applies its principles in his approach to working with clients. Stress reduction, food, shelter, property, discretionary income, and even what to do with your tax refund! Kevin also helps demystify the role of a financial planner, as it’s NOT just for the rich. Kevin relays a few examples: 1. of how he was able to find a client over $1200 in available cash flow to dedicate to savings; 2.how he was able to take another client with over $4000 in discretionary money to devote to financial planning.
