Pastor Mick teaches thru the key parts of ch. 12-14. Hosea recalls the start of the Jewish people and Jacob - how he went from conniver to submission to God. And how they were delivered from Egypt and strong ... until they embraced Baal and idols and rejected God. Then the book ends with the hope of restored relationship in spite of the judgment coming on the northern nation.

Pastor Mick teaches thru the highlights of ch. 9-11. Hosea's message is that, due to rejection of the Lord, Israel would go backwards to about where they were 750 years ago - when they were slaves in Egypt. Their 'return to Egypt' will be in Assyria. God's heart breaks (ch. 11) as He deals out deserved punishment as a consequence for their stubborn sin.

Prior to Mick's sharing, several leaders, including Blythe Little League Board, our Mayor, Halby's, and a couple Coaches. Mick shared 6 Faith specific principals that he has shared over the season with kids as a team Chaplain and their relation to life as well as sports.

Pastor Mick gives a special message, "Your Day of Pentecost" from Acts 1-2. Starting with a brief history of Pentecost, and seeing Peter's declaration that this promise was not just for the people in Acts 2. but for all believers, Pastor Mick walks thru the promise and fulfillment of this special "Baptism in the Holy Spirit" occurrence. He focuses on Jesus' repeated promise that the main purpose of the experience was to empower God's people to share His love and truth.

Pastor Mick teaches thru the highlights of ch. 6-8. From 6:4 - chapter 8, Hosea inventories the sin and rejection of Israel, with their judgment on them set securely. But in 6:1-3, offers hope for the nation eventually, but specifically for the individual to be restored to God. He thus exhorts them to repent & return to God, even with judgment coming.

Pastor Mick teaches thru the highlights of ch. 4-5. The book of Hosea moves from Hosea's illustrated marriage to his direct message in ch. 4. Specifically this study looks at the root causes for Israel's rebellion and their wrongly placed efforts to fix their problem of coming judgment. Ch. 5 reminds them that religion is not the answer, but a true heart of repentance and return to the relationship with God.

Pastor Mick focuses in on the prophetic statements in ch. 2 & 3 that deal with the physical return of the Jews to their ancient homeland, as well as the spiritual birth that come when Jesus is recognized as Messiah. He walks thru the "in that day" delineation of the when and where the physical return (already well in process) and the spiritual awakening will occur. He also points out the connection of the valley of Jezreel with it's corresponding valley of Armageddon in Rev. 16.

Pastor Mick walks us thru the first half of chapter 2 and chapter 3, looking at the marriage break up of Hosea and Gomer. Then at the redemption of the wife turned prostitute again that Hosea initiates. He points out the prophetic symbol of Gomer's return to his home under tight boundaries with the return of the Jews to the land, without yet seeing their turn to their Messiah Jesus.

In this first chapter of Hosea, Pastor Mick walks thru the chapter pointing out the odd command given to the prophet and the prophetic significance of the three children's names given. He also share the sub-theme of what has occurred in the valley of Jezreel, as well as it's prophetic significance.

Pastor Mick shares a bonus message to the "Worship 2026" series about how true praise invites God to work supernaturally and powerfully in us. He shares his testimony of how God has worked in him this week in Tennessee, to clear out unforgiveness and bitterness in his relationship with his recovered addict son. He shares his unexpected encounter as he began to engage in praise and worship.
