Personal Encounters with Jesus, #10, "Jesus and The Hungry Crowd in Decapolis". Pastor Mick Catron connects some Biblical dots from the Delivered Demoniac of Decapolis and his amazing testimony (study #09) that laid the groundwork for the welcome Jesus received, and the amazing miracle in this, His final visit through the Gentile area of The Decapolis.

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #09. "Jesus and The Decapolis Demoniac". Pastor Mick Catron takes us on a journey with Jesus as He encounters the infamous Demoniac of Decapolis. The theme of Mick's message is RESCUE as we see Jesus rescue an utterly hopeless man. When Jesus is kicked out of town, He leaves the healed man to share the good news - which in turn sets the seeds for a future revival in the Decapolis (see study #10 for that).

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #08. "Jesus and The Canaanite Woman". Pastor Mick Catron takes us on a cultural journey as Jesus moves for the first time into the Gentile strongholds of Northern Israel. Here he encounters a cultural "outsider" who learns that she does indeed belong within the family of believers. She becomes only the 2nd person in the N.T. who has faith which Jesus deems "great".

Pastor Mick shares a special message from Mt. 28 and from his recent experiences of ministry in a military context, about living daily in light of the commission God has placed on our lives.

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #07. "Jesus and The Roman Centurion". Pastor Mick Catron walks us thru Luke 7 (and Mt. 8) and the story of Jesus encounter with the Roman Centurion. We see his incredible perception of who Jesus is and Jesus' response calling his faith "great".

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #06. "Jesus and The Thirsty Samaritan". Pastor Mick Catron walks us thru John 4 and the story of Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well. We see Jesus crossing cultural boundaries to share gospel truth with the woman, using common item to reveal Spiritual Truth, and revival when the lady shares with her people.

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #05. "Jesus and The Unclean Bleeding Woman". Pastor Mick Catron walks us thru Mark 25:25-34, where we see a desparate woman who has been chronically ill for 12 years break the cultural rules and come to Jesus in public. We see she expresses faith the way she can, and receives two things - healing, and belonging.

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #04. "Jesus and The Adulterous Woman". Pastor Mick Catron walks us thru Jn. 8:1-11, where we see the Pharisees drag a sinful woman to Jesus - in an effort to discredit Jesus. As He encounters the Pharisees and then the woman, Jesus has lessons of truth and grace that results not in condemnation, but in a personal calling of transformation for the woman.

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #03. "Jesus and The Rich Young Ruler". Pastor Mick Catron walks us thru Matt. 19 & Mk. 10, with the story of this encounter. We see, like Matthew the Tax Man, a rich man with a chance to find real life and follow Jesus. But this man's story is different. He has a "god" that needs to be de-throned.

Personal Encounters with Jesus, #02. "Jesus and The Tax Collector". Pastor Mick Catron walks us thru Matt. 9:9-13 where we see the despised Matthew called to become a follower of Christ. Mick shares the cultural aspect and shame associated with relating with sinners such as Matthew, and the amazing reach of Jesus to offer grace to all.
