Trail Life USA – Hope for the Nation

Released at the beginning of 2014, Trail Life’s vision is to be “the premier national character development organization for young men which produces Godly and responsible husbands, fathers, and citizens.” This is so vital to our society. Looking at what is happening in our education system, culture, and families, God is being removed and values abandoned. After hours of video games and indoor entertainment, young boys don’t know about God’s adventure and what is available. Everything is pushing young boys away from what it means to be a man. Lessons Learned from the Vietnam War: We Can Win a Nation with the Gospel

Greg, Pat, and Steve continue the conversation discussing a piece of American history: the Vietnam War. Ultimately, this was a war against communism seeking to bring peace between the North and South Vietnamese. Reportedly, over $150 Billion was spent on this war. Twice as many bombs were dropped during air missions in the Vietnam War than America dropped in World War II. In this war, there was not an identified “front line”. Because of this, the body count of enemy soldiers was the measure of success, not land taken. Needless to say, this was a significant demonstration of a physical advancement. Did it ultimately have a positive impact on the presence of Communism in the region? Imagine this: what if we would have allocated 10% of the funds to be spent on missionaries who are trained up and sent out to share the gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ? Greg, Pat and John share a prophetic perspective of what could be currently taking place in America. When looking at law enforcement K-9 units work closely together: the specific handler and the dog. When a transition of the handler is needed, all exposure to the first handler is stopped. The dog is caged. Only after the needed process is carried out and the dog has fully disconnected from the first handler, the second handler is gradually introduced; first with some food and with increasingly more and more contact. The results are a dog that is just as loyal to the second handler as it is to the first. Currently, there is a transition taking place in America. If we, as the church, respond in our carnal nature, in our flesh, things will be more peaceful; but God will be pushed out more and more. The United States is sending 3,000 Soldiers to Liberia with No guarantee they won’t be infected with Ebola?

Recently, the United States has decided to send 3,000 troops to Liberia in response to what is taking place. In an ABC News report, significant questions are raised about this: aren’t the soldiers in danger of being exposed to the virus? Reportedly, the soldiers will respond in a way that is not in direct contact with those infected. What is important to consider is that, currently, only 20% of those with Ebola are being treated. What about those who have yet to be transported to a treatment center? We must pray for all of those responding, the troops, and all of those in Liberia. Don’t “Fall” To Evil Suspicions: Learn the Truth part 1

As the church, it is important for us to be aware of the words that we are allowing into our ears and into our hearts. If we start believing the words that go against truth, we will have to contend with those. God created us in His image with the ability to create things.

Having a conversation about topics without any sourcing or truth behind it is to have a conversation just based on suspicion. If we’re not careful with our words we will bring into creation things based on suspicion, even evil suspicion. If we don’t open our mouths or noses, isn’t it amazing how the ocean doesn’t enter our bodies? It is the same with the thoughts and words of the world. The Bible says, “…the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God night and day….”- Revelation 12:10. That is what the devil does. He never stops accusing: to each other, to God, even to ourselves. It’s important to understand the realities of those “accusing moments” and how we can respond. Be encouraged and empowered as you learn wisdom on how to be victorious against the devil’s schemes, and so much more. Salvation is a Gift from God but it is the Humble who Receive It

John, Pat, and Steve share about the profound truth of God’s free gift of salvation for each of us. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” –Ephesians 2:8-9. It is through humility that we see our need for God and the reality that nothing we can do personally causes us to be right in the eyes of God. Pride is so deceiving that it causes us to be blinded to our need for God. In addition, it also blinds us to the reality of self-righteousness through religious works. There are hardships, trials, and tribulations that God allows us to go through. As the church, when we see others going through these difficult moments, we can focus our prayers specifically for them. War; Does Each Soldier Answer for His Own Actions before God?

Greg, Pat, and Steve have a conversation about the importance of following orders and the outcomes that follow. By looking back at history there have been multiple leaders: Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler, etc. Each of these leaders brought utter extermination to many of their own citizens. To say yes to Pol Pot would be to murder what would end up being 25% of the Cambodian people. To say yes to Hitler would cause the extermination of more than 6 million Jews in gas chambers. If we do not have the Word of God in our hearts, what do we rely on if we receive morally wrong orders? What if we have a leader that says we need to go to war with Israel? What would we do?
