We’re back to own the amount of losses we took in Pickville this week, discuss some other suprising results across the country, and weigh in on the news of ‘developing' talks’ between James Franklin & Virginia Tech.
Not much to report off the field ahead of Week 12 so we’re focused on a (hopefully) above-expectation slate of games this weekend and potential CFP implications. Games picked = Notre Dame @ Pittsburgh, Oklahoma @ Alabama, Virginia @ Duke, Iowa @ USC, and Texas @ Georgia.
Another very solid weeks of picks for the show, though not quite as nice in terms of results for some of our beloved squads - coverage includes CFP outlook, the mess at the top of the ACC, potential coaching carousel happenings, and updates from the competitive golf scene in the Shenandoah Valley.
Back from a mini-hiatus to recap Week 10’s games, another big logo on the coaching carousel, and look towards a somewhat disappointing schedule for Week 11. Games picked = BYU @ Texas Tech, Texas A&M @ Missouri, Oregon @ Iowa, Florida State @ Clemson, and LSU @ Alabama.
Join us to look towards a fairly underwhelming Week 10 slate of games and stay to the end as we give our individual guesses for who fills each of the current head coaching openings across the country. Games picked = Vanderbilt @ Texas, Georgia vs Florida, Texas Tech @ Kansas State, Oklahoma @ Tennessee, and Cincinnati @ Utah.
Week 9 was one for the sickos, as action on the field was often lacking in crispness and pizzazz but there was certainly some entertainment to be found if you were watching through a certain lens - we also take a dive into LSU’s firing of Brian Kelly which broke ~30 minutes before recording.
The lads are back from a midseason golfing retreat to recap Week 8, look ahead to Week 9, and review the current status of the coaching carousel (most notably in Gainesville). Games picked = Virginia @ North Carolina, Ole Miss @ Oklahoma, South Florida @ Memphis, Missouri @ Vanderbilt, and Texas A&M @ LSU.
Week 7 brought us plenty to react to, most notably in the B1G where Indiana asserted themselves as a legitimate title contender and Penn State bought out James Franklin after a second consecutive bad loss.
Back on a quick turnaround to look towards a weekend of games that appear to be a marked improvement (on paper) over Week 6, as well as rumblings of turmoil in Chapel Hill. Games picked = Ohio State @ Illinois, Alabama @ Missouri, Indiana @ Oregon, Oklahoma v Texas, and Arizona State @ Utah.
Back to recap a fun (for us) Week 6 including tales from Gainesville, an absolute stinker from Big Game James Franklin & Penn State, UNC is still bad, JMU finds a way, UVA survives another overtime contest, and more. Bonus fast-food takes for those who stay to the end!
