Podcast Under The Stairs

Join your host Duncan Under The Stairs discussing all things Horror on The Podcast Under the Stairs.

Summer has arrived at last Under the Stairs which means our 4th annual Top 10 series of shows has come to take you through those uncomfortably humid days with a hearty dose of horror!!

I am not one to be accused of short changing listeners or setting easy goals either which makes this years Top 10 series very special indeed!! Over the next 11 episodes in the series we will count down each year in the decade known as the 70's with the mission statement of creating the definitive Top 10 list of movies in the decade, but with a little TPUTS twist if you will.

Noah's Ark rules will mean that each year will be represented in the creation of the list and will force myself and my guest to short list each year in the decade from 10 movies to 2!! That's right...only 2 movies from each year can go through which means that this list can/might & will be unlike any Top 10 list of 70's horror movies created on a podcast!!

On this show my guest Ricky Morgan and myself will look at 10 movies from 1973 with mini reviews of Deathdream, Let Sleeping Corpses Lie, Deranged, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Black Christmas, Abby, Sugar Hill, Madhouse, Spasmo, Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter.

Intro – 0 - 4mins 25secs

Top 10 1974 - 5mins 50secs - 2hrs 8mins 20secs

Intermission - Void Mother - Beastmilk - 2hrs 10mins 25secs - 2hrs 13mins 10secs

Decision Time - 2hrs 13mins 10secs - 2hrs 35mins 50sec

Closing Out the Show- 2hrs 35mins 50secs - End

Closing Song - The Dreamers Hideaway - Klone

The 2 movies picked as going forward to the final roundtable representing the year 1974 are Deathdream & The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Join me next week with special guest Cort Psyops to look at 1975 and the following movies:

Jaws

Deep Red

Welcome to the first instalment in the Baz v The Masters of Horror Series on The Podcast Under the Stairs!! This series exists solely to allow The Baz to build on his already formable horror education by viewing movies crafted by the Masters...of horror that is!!

Duncan has a massive archive of movies all ready for The Baz to experience and this first episode is no slouch as The Baz faces off against the man singlehanded credited as turning the heads of the west...east!!

How will The Baz fair as he gets up close and personal with Japan's own Takashi Miike in reviews of One Missed Call (2003) & Audition (1999).
