Podcast - Wax & Wane

Matt saunters up to his old man high horse again and jumps on for a rant about You Tube's new streaming service. There are also a couple of deluxe gifts to add to your holiday wish list, a bit of news, the reissue wish list and some helpful tips for new and would be vinyl collectors. Saddle up!

On the inaugural episode of the Wax & Wane Radio Hour, Matt spins a set of songs by brotherly acts; real life siblings, blood kin and what not. The Louvins and the Everlys make an appearance of course, and the trail winds its' through some work by The Beach Boys, The Kinks, The Bee Gees, AC/DC and more.

Matt shares his ideas for the vinyl lover's holiday wish lists, raves about the brilliant - and largely unknown, out of print classic - 'Would You Believe' by British baroque popster Billy Nicholls. There is also some vinyl news, a good-natured jab at KISS and more.

This week, Matt wonders if actually is a hipster, discusses ways to expand one's musical horizons and lays out the news of the week that includes the most insanely priced eBay listing ever.

On the first episode of the Wax & Wane Podcast, Matt gets on his old man high horse about the high cost of reissues. Plus, a rundown on some vinyl and music news about Bono's shitty apologies, Wilco's 20th Anniversary, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy at the watermark and Nick Cave's catalog on vinyl.
